Outstanding location, expensive venue.

Let me start by saying this is an amazing location and well worth a visit. However, we stayed in a premium room, which was more expensive than our 4 star hotel in Kiruna, but nowhere near the same quality. Nevertheless, as everyone else has previously, we overlooked this due to the amazing location. We were unable to book in the restaurant for the three nights we were there and ate in the bistro once as the menu never changed burger, pizzas or salad. This venue is also far more expensive than other parts of Sweden.

Very comfortable hotel rooms, good value breakfast and dinner, really friendly and helpful staff, and wonderful vibe with all the hikers. Great base to explore the national park whether you are a seasoned trekker wanting to leave some luggage before a multiday hike or a family trip up the chairlift

Stayed here for a few nights in the hope of seeing the aurora. Booked activities directly with them which was so easy and the staff were all very helpful. Food in the bistro and the restaurant was delicious. Buffet breakfast in the morning was a great way to start the day. Lots of great books to lounge and read or crochet and sip wine.

Abisko Turiststation - a warm and cosy place

It was a great place to stay. We flew into Kiruna from Stockholm and rented a car to travel up to Abisko. Easy drive and lovely place to stay for 3 nights. Went hiking and spotted the Aurora from our hotel. Overall good place for rest and recreation.

Safe and convenient with easy parking. The maintenance of the property is pretty bad as stains were on the living room and bathroom floor which gives out an old motel vibe. Smells from the sewage/plumbing as well (basin missing cover) probably that’s why emits funny smell The towel and bedsheet have a weird stale smell too

Perfect place to stay in Abisko

Abisko Turiststation STF is a great place to stay. It's located close to the train station and offers a variety of rooms from hotel, to hostel, to cabins. We stayed in one of the cabins and it was perfect for us. The one item I will note is that you need to ethier bring your own sheets/sleeping bag or you can rent linnens from the hotel (much like a hostel). I am glad I reached out to them before we arrived so they could inform me of this as it doesn't seem to be listed on hotels.com. Otherwise, this hotel is great, most of the activities pick up at this location. The only other item to note is that this is not in Abisko proper. So if you need to get food from a grocery store, you should bring it with you or plan to walk to the store as there are limited transportation options once you arrive.

Abisko Turiststation is the perfect place to stay during your visit to Abisko. The property has accommodation types for all budgets and is very clean and well kept. The two restaurants are perfect and the staff were easily available and very helpful. The hotel is within easy walking distance of many hiking and cross country skiing trails and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Abisko National Park. The train station is just next door - an easy walk even with luggage - and tour operators will pick you up directly from the turiststation. If you’re here in winter, you can view the northern lights from just behind the hotel, with gorgeous views of a lake and nearby mountains. I had a perfect experience, would absolutely come back!

Awesome place to stay whilst in Abisko. The park and train station are just down the road. You can enjoy the sauna there, and see the Aurora from the dining room/kitchen. Friendly staff. The tours are a bit pricey though.
