Travelling up through France from the south to the north coast this was a good overnight stop. Although there is no restaurant food can be delivered to the hotel and a restaurant is close by. A good continental breakfast is available. The beds are large and comfortable the staff very welcoming.

Hotel Saint Jacques
Clean room but basic, in need of some modernisation. Breakfast was basic too, but served a purpose. Location in parthenay was good! And parthenay itself is a lovely place to stay.

Logis Hôtel Talencia

Château de Périgny, The Originals Relais
Very nice Chateau. A bit ‘tired’, needs a bit of tlc but overall a lovely place.

Relais des Lilas
Nice spacicous rooms. One problem was the heat. No aircon. The outside temperature was particularly hot, 39°C. The room fan helped but other areas were extremely warm. Still like this hotel and will stay again in the future.

Le Clos Albert
Worst hotel ever stayed at unable to check in on first night as hotel locked. Sat outside for 2 hours then had to go to another hotel at €109 for night. Hotel Clos did not respond to phone or text while we were sat outside!

Chambres et Gîtes Les Mésanges
We arrived at 6pm for Check in & even though there was a note on the door to say it was open, it was locked & no-one came to greet us. The yard was very messy & there were lots of cats everywhere. We left to find more suitable accommodation.
