Rooms quite dated and no air-conditioning. Very basic and overpriced

Hotel was fabulous, great location and nice room. Unfortunately, the hotel bar was not great, terrible service.

Location was excellent, close to all the local attractions and just great for walking around the city. We had a loft too Which was really nice. Only negative was the breakfast, was very small offering and was never topped up.

Fantastic hotel and the absolutely best staff around. We moved into the hotel because of a poor experience with an Airbnb. We booked online at 4pm that day and were able to check in within 20mins. Because we had explained our issue when booking the staff was ready and welcomed us with excellent hospitality. Check in was smooth and the rooms were ready and set up with needed fans (most places in Europe do not have air conditioning). The rooms were typical of Europe and therefore small but very liveable. Plenty of amenities and the on-site restaurant and bar were very enjoyable. The staff was amazing and went beyond the call of duty. On our last night of stay, while we were out on a canal tour, our daughter who stayed behind in the room got sick and called us. We called the front desk and Eve and her staff went to tend to our daughter until we could get back to the hotel. They even called later that night and the next day to check on her. Such dedication and care will be the primary reason we will stay at the hotel on our next Amsterdam visit. I would recommend the hotel and staff to anyone. You will not be disappointed .

Reception staff were friendly and helpful and the accommodation was spacious enough for the four of us.

Fun place to stay (on a canal), with a marvelous staff and a huge breakfast. Some great restaurants nearby (De Belhamel and Sagardi). The staircase is narrow and winding, and the elevator holds either two people or one person and a bag). Each room honors a craft; we were in The Tanner, with a great view of the neighborhood.
