Change of Apartments to Sagrada Familia

We did not actually stay at the Gothic Cathedral apartments since they were "out of order" at the time of our arrival. Instead we stayed at the Sagrada Familia apartments in the Eixample neighborhood. The 1-bedroom apartment was very spacious and we were provided a crib, high chair and toys for our toddler, which he loved. The apartment is about a 10 minute walk to the closest subway station which allowed us to get around most of Barcelona easily.

Nice apartment in old section of city

Off busy street of small shops and restaurants, these apartments are on an old, renovated building. Space is clean and airy, comfortable but somewhat sparse.

Kitchen poorly equipped; sound proofing limited

We were disturbed more than once times several nights at 3 and again around 4 o'clock in the morning. Possibly by revelers or young people heading to the airport. The concierge readily supplied toaster, knife and breadboard plus tea towels when requested. The rest of the kitchen supplies were pretty limited - not even a sharp knife. Great location for exploring Barcelona.

Great location in the "Old Town" - modern room

Great location in the 'old town' - the most interesting part of the city. Less than a 10 min walk to the beach and less than 5 minutes to Las Ramblas. THe apartment was fairly large and service was good. We felt safe at all times.

A complete disappointment. We booked two rooms for eight days. The room and address given online was not where they put us. One of the rooms they gave us was obviously uncleaned when we arrived. The second room was literally a few feet from an active, noisy construction sight, which meant the drapes had to be drawn the entire time if you didn't want to converse with the men outside the windows. From day one, they said housekeeping would take care of the dirty room, and they did bring us clean sheets. They also said we could move to a different room to replace the room in the middle of the construction zone. Repeated promises, waiting and no action. We cleaned the rooms ourselves, including the dirty dishes in the cabinets, we over looked the ripped up sofa and stained towels and we waited for them to move us. Nothing every happened and after a few days they were angry that we were still asking. I was not surprised to see their business lobby with a line of other frustrated customers who had received the same lack of care and action. Towards the end of stay, I was told to complain to our booking site, not them. None of the issues we experienced would ruin a vacation, but the lack of consideration or honesty was very hard to accept. Stay away from AinB Apartments if you don't want to feel mistreated.

Could be much better

No room service. But good size apartment. Center if the city with 5 mins to all landmarks. Apartment 10 mins from the front Office. I had to carry all our bags from front office to appartment and from apartment to front office to take the airport limo. And I payed almost 4 stars cost for this.

It was one of the worst apartments i've ever seen!

We checked in a basement apartment with no windows or light !! You can't even beath !! And the stuff are rude ... When we asked them to change the apartment to have one like in the picture they said no ! And they refused to help ! The apartment is too creepy ! It has a door to a very weird and creepy underground stairs .... Check the picture to know how creepy ! I don't recomend it at all ...

Ideal for our stay - great location

This apartment was just right for our family (2 adults, 2 children aged 14 and 12) as we wanted to be able to sight-see, visit the beach, and relax in the apartment. It was in the centre of the Gothic quarter and we could walk nearly everywhere (beaches, cathedral, Las Ramblas) all in under 10 minutes. It is just a few minutes from Jaume metro station if you want to go further afield (so easy to get to La Sagrada Familia). AinB have many locations of apartment (and one central reception on Carrer Jaume 1) so I'm not sure if all the reviews here apply to the same apartment block, but our apartment was lovely. It was very quiet (no night-time noise at all) and on the top floor, with a full length balcony with plenty of space to sit outside and relax (we may have been upgraded, I'm not sure). It was very clean and the air conditioning was very effective. There was a separate bedroom for us, and the kids slept in the sitting room. The lady at the main reception (Laura?) and the man on duty at the apartment (Shavid?) were both very helpful. The area felt very safe and was very picturesque.

Great location nice neighbourhood, different st.

Hotel is fne, great location. One of the doorman is fine the other is not. Too much street noise for the apartment on the front. Front door kept slamming and the noise could be heard into the apartment. Great location, nice apartment. Wi-Fi was problematic. Had to get the routers reset.

The worse hotel o have ever stayer in, The garage was made into a room, AC don't work. Very nosy. No towels, the gave me an used soap and shampoo.. The room was dirty, holes in the wall. Rusty bathroom. There were mosquitos and even a spider on the room:

Would stay here again

Fantastic location - walk to everything !!! Would stay again. Staff extremely helpful. Kudos to Shahdi (spelling) who went out of his way to assist with luggage, information and airport cab. Even showed up early to make sure we got off ok.

Nice apartment close to good restaurants

Apartment good but we experienced a lot of noise at night. Lots of people pouring out of pubs/clubs until early hours of the morning/ bin men clearing the streets and other people in the apartment block noisy and had no consideration for others. That is our only criticism. Not great if you have children who need their sleep.

A stay in Barcelona

The apartment was in a great location, Gothic district, and within walking distance to everything. If we were staying in Barcelona for a few days or more, it would have been perfect as it accommodated the five of us without getting multiple rooms, but we only stayed overnight so amenities such as coffee, water or even soap were not available. The day time staff is great but the overnight person that started at 7pm was uninterested and basically ignored us. Overall, I would stay there again but knowing going in it's an apartment not a hotel

I guess you are paying for location here which is great- although if you are not an early riser, beware of the children's school across the alley. kids and parents gather early and make a huge noise in the echoing courtyard! Good modern style and nice kitchenette but very small bedroom and bathroom for the price.

Only drawback is that the actual apartment is away from the check in desk, but they tell you that in advance. But well worth it! Very spacious 2 floor apartment. Very comfortable, quiet, and private with nice balconies

In the heart of the city

Ideal location to explore the center of Barcelona and at a few minutes to the port and Rambla. The apartment has a clean, minimalist design, with enough storage space. We enjoyed the nice kitchen and the great variety of TV channels.

Good location, close to Jaume I Metro Station

The rooms are close to different places of interest: Rambla, Palaus Guell, Cathedral, Basilique and Picasso Museum. Walking a little more La Pedrera, Casa Batlo, The rest of places can be reached by Metro from Jaime I Station. Room was ok (basic). Staff was kind, Wifi was weak. Price was a little expensive

No soap was given, most toilet doors are spoilt and water from bathroom are leaking to the sitting rooms downstairs. Need to walk through small and dark alleys so not good to walk out at night. Very noisy neighbourhoods at night. Taxi cannot get to the hotel cos of narrow and blocked streets to hotels.
