The hotel was excellent, along with the staff. Once you get out of the immediate area, it was fantastic, close to everything! Just stay away from walking thru the back alleys at and use main roads, it will be fine.

The receptionist Ruben was a bit of a strange guy there was someone behind us in the que he served them first at check in the other staff were all great the hotel is clean tidy with great views at the 11th floor the area is a bit sketchy be vigilant as it’s full of thugs, thieves and has a drug problem right outside the door but the hotel is fairly decent I’d stay again if I went again

Surprisingly good hotel, and ejoyable stay. Decor is a little unusual and a little dark, but room was great - clean, very comfortable, and the insight restaurant was decent. Didn’t get to check out the sky bar.

Be on your guard outside the hotel

A really nice hotel with fantastic staff with one major negative: the location. I did see a few comments about the area before booking but I travel to Barcelona fairly often so i am aware of the issue with petty crime so it didn;t bother me. But the Rambla de Raval is now a dirty and seedy place to be at night. Groups of young men loitering all day and night. One of them tried to steal the necklace off a girl's neck while she was stood next to me. I'm a 6'3 and stocky male. he didn't care. Next time i visit the city i will stay well away from the lower Ramblas which are generally where the pickpockets and shady characters assemble

Barcelo Raval review

We had a Junior suite. Very large bedroom and separate large living room. The couch was a sleeper sofa. The mattress on the king bed was a worn. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic. The tub was very hard to step into, (tub & shower combo). Restaurant breakfast food was good. Views from the roof top were fantastic. Make sure you take C adapter to plug in your American hair tools. They had no American outlets in the room.

The hotel itself is fine. The rooftop beautiful views. The staff was great! The area iffy, but still felt safe. The room itself was fine. Not the best air conditioning and noisy.

The room is clean. The bed is most comfortable! The staff are all very nice and professional. We reserved a shuttle bus to the airport thru the hotel. The driver was most professional and pleasant! The only problem I have is the area seems to have trash, broken bottles everywhere, even though you see the street are being cleaned every day.
