Wonderful hotel!! We very much enjoyed our stay here. We were on the 6th floor and our room was lovely! Comfortable beds, nice size bathroom and lots of amenities. It’s also the same floor as the pool and great outdoor sitting area. The breakfast was wonderful - lots to choose from and great coffee machine. We bought sandwiches and goodies from the little cafe in the lobby and they were great. The hotel is totally walkable to many different areas of Barcelona and the beach. If I ever return to Barcelona - this is the hotel I will choose to stay at!

The hotel is located close to many of the key things to visit/see. There are lots of small bars, shops, tapas bars near by. The streets in the area are very narrow and getting a taxi to drop you off at the hotel can be a challenge!

Excellent location in the heart of the gothic quarter. You can walk to everything, including the metro and the Rambla. The beach is about a 15 minute walk as well. I enjoyed my stay. The staff was terrific and knowledgeable. Very clean Hotel comfortable beds. I would stay there again.

I had a great stay at the Catalonia Avinyo. Lot of good points to the hotel. It’s a just a 10 minute walk from the Liceu metro station. There are a lot of dining and shopping nearby. It’s also very close to the main attractions like the Barcelona cathedral. Just a few negative points. It’s right in the gothic district which is similar to the French quarter. It’s very loud at night if you have a street view window. You can ask for an interior room. Several of the staff were very helpful and friendly, but you will find at some hotels in Spain they don’t really have the same concierge system that we have in the US where hotels in tourist areas will go out of their way to promote other businesses and give you tourist tips.

Right in the heart on the city centre but sound proof rooms let you hear nothing. Easily walkable to all major sites within 10-15 minute walk. Concierge booked taxis if needed, supplied umbrellas if needed, which we did not. Nice tiled floor in rooms so great for cleanliness. Great breakfast spread included. Highly recommend.

The service at the hotel was excellent and very friendly. The location was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom was very nice with lots of counter space and very nice shower. The bathroom needed better lighting, though. However, the room was much smaller than it appeared in the pictures and there was extremely limited place to unpack and store your clothes. There were also very limited electrical outlets.

This location was decent and clean. Most of the staff was helpful and friendly. It took a long time to check. We were told that the hotel was booked up and had to wait for other guests to checkout and get the rooms clean. Understandable. We arrived around 8:30am and didn’t get our room until 1:30pm. We were exhausted from flying all day plus our luggage was lost. It just wasn’t the warmest experience we were expecting. Although of the managers was helpful and showed he cared. It was much appreciated.

Good value for location

Good value for the location. Really clean and friendly staff. Rooms were a bit warm when we arrived but cooled down for sleeping. Would potentially be stifling in summer as it was only spring weather for us. Important to know that not all rooms have an exterior window - some open into the hallway/atrium which gives some fresh air but also noise (maybe less than the street would though!)
