Don't expect a view but very clean, helpful staff, hot water, with a safe and hair dryer in the room. Excellent location close to restaurants, shopping and attractions. And they've used the same cab company for airport transit upon leaving which is very reliable. Can't go wrong for the price!

This Hostal is perfect for couples or if you are traveling alone. There’s a person in the front desk 24/7. The room was very clean. The wifi didn’t work for us very well, but it was fine by us since we were out most of the day. I’ve read some reviews saying that you could hear lots of noise, and we guess that’s why found ear plugs on the night stand, but we didn’t hear anything at all. Once again, if are traveling by yourself or with your partner and are thinking on a place to where just spend the night, this is it.

Hostal Levante, a great experience!
Hostal Levante offers a great location and beautiful building of unique Catalan architecture. Its location in beautiful and historical Barrio Gotico, offers different amenities needed daily, specially a great supermarket and hardware store right below it, both very important and needed when traveling! Barcelona is practically my second home which I visit yearly 3 to 5 times a year since 2005, so I had my share of hotels & hostals experiences all over the city. Hotel Levante was a wonderful experience, the staff was very attentive and helpful with a very friendly attitude. The beds, pillows and blankets were super comfortable, and the entire hotel always very clean. The one and only negative is that the rooms don't have television and although watching tv is not a priority (specially while traveling) it will help to have the opportunity to watch the news, a movie or a music/video channel when ending the day. I will definitely stay on Hostal Levante when I return to my second home again in summer of 2025!

I love the location of this property in the heart of the Gothic quarter. I live in a major American city, so poverty, graffiti and random night walkers don’t bother me at all. You can walk just about everywhere from here…I know because I did. There were almost too many food and drink options nearby. The staff was very friendly and getting in and out of here was super easy. La Rambla is only about a five minute walk away.

Very centrally located right in the Gothic Quarter with easy and quick access to the port (great if you're a runner!) and all that the Gothic Quarter has to offer - lots of dining and shopping options. It was my first stay in a hostal so I don't have anything to compare it to, though I will say there seems to be a lot of hostals in the area so I guess they have to be competitive. There's a safe in the room if you're security-conscious and a "window" but no view as such. No complaints and it did the job - a place to sleep, shower and recharge my phone.
