Hostel is located above a supermarket which is very handy. Layout of the floors is quite unusual. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Rooms very clean. Only thing I would suggest is that they get a better vending machine with a wide range of drinks and foodstuff. Basic but I would recommend it - will definitely stay here again.

No plug outlets for US plugs, no TV, put us on third floor but no elevator goes that high, we are in our 70s, had to climb stairs, but they did help take our luggage up and down the steps. No washcloth, only hand towel and bath towels, but overall safe and clean and suited us just for a one-night sleep.

checkin and checkout was very easy and fast, while there is always customer support representative. The location is great, we could walk everywhere we needed. Apartment is very old renovated but looks clean. One huge problem what I had during staying was that I could hear anytime the sound of the water from the neighbors pipes while splashing or using sink, it was pretty annoying and gross especially when you are awaken by this sound during the night.

Loud and rude staff.
Room was clean. Extractor fan making a loud noise the whole time. The bed and room looked as expected and was clean. However, the room is vey close to reception and all day and night I coukd hear stsff having loud conversations, watching videos and using the phone. Also, when I checked in I accidentally pressed the buzzer too many times as there are 4 buzzers with the same name. I was shouted at and I explained it was an accident and asked which one I should press. I was met with rudeness and being told off and made to feel scared. Another member of staff was also rude. If the reception wasnt so loud and staff were not rude it would have been okay. I liked the location as it was central and close to the things I had planned.

The Hostal Levante was in a very walkable area. It was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was noisy at night.

Good location at the Gothic neighborhood near Las Ramblas. You just have to be vigilant at all times when walking around. Thankfully we were not victimized by pickpockets. Alejandro at the front desk and the staff are very efficient and they secure the bldg well. Old bldg but clean and well maintained.
