Clean hotel and convenient location. Good facilities, but the mattress is not comfortable and needs changing. Also room wasn’t ready for check-in which is disappointing given that it’s a 4 star hotel and high price.

The hotel was conveniently located in the historic area. There was a metro station very close to the hotel and was easy to use. The hotel was in very good condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice .

I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a great experience! The location is ideal, with many major tourist attractions within walking distance, eliminating the need for taxis. For those who prefer public transportation, the metro is only a few minutes away, making it even easier to explore the area. The 24-hour front desk was incredibly helpful, especially when I had to check out at 3 a.m. for an early flight. The staff quickly arranged a taxi for me, which arrived within minutes. The hotel itself is very clean, modern, and secure, which made me feel comfortable throughout my stay. My room was surprisingly spacious – much larger than I expected for a European hotel – and featured a contemporary design with a large, modern bathroom. I highly recommend adding the buffet breakfast to your stay. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options, and the breakfast hours (7:30–10:30 a.m.) were very convenient. My only issue was the lack of air conditioning in the fall. Although it was around 70°F outside, it still felt quite warm in the room, even with the window open. Fortunately, the front desk provided a fan, which made a huge difference. Without it, the room would have been uncomfortable during the day. The evenings were cooler, so I didn’t need the fan at night. While the fan helped, I’d hesitate to stay again during warmer fall days unless I'm certain a fan will be available.

We had an amazing time at Hotel Gotico! The location couldn't be better—just a short stroll to the charming old quarter, and there were so many fantastic dining options nearby. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We can’t wait to come back to Barcelona and stay here again!

Hotel Gotico is amazing wonderful staff both at the front and cleanliness of our rooms. The location was spectacular. We could walk everywhere from the water to the Familia sagrada. It was just easy to walk. We feel fortunate to have been there and was so quiet.!

Terrible Experience – No AC and Poor Customer Service I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel in October. Despite the weather in Barcelona being extremely hot, the hotel claimed they had switched to heating for “winter,” leaving the AC completely unusable. The room was unbearably warm, and when we raised the issue with the front desk, they said they would check it, but no one ever came. They also suggested putting the AC on “E” as a fan, but this made no difference. I woke up drenched in sweat, which completely ruined my stay. The bathroom was another issue—it was so moist that it smelled like a swamp, making it very uncomfortable to use. Despite bringing all of these concerns to the staff, they were unhelpful and dismissive. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. For the price, I expected at least basic comfort, but this stay was far from that. Avoid at all costs if you want a comfortable stay in Barcelona!

This was a very clean and convenient hotel in the Gothic Quarter. I would absolutely recommend this for business travel. The WiFi was very reliable, and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff were especially helpful, and everyone I encountered there was extremely accommodating and friendly. The location can't be beat, it is so close to many attractions. It's also less than a block from a metro station. I was very impressed with the city's metro system. All around, this was a great hotel, and reasonably priced.
