Everything was great with the hotel with the exception of our door lock that stopped working suddenly. We were locked out of our room for a long time while it was being repaired. The staff were empathetic but offered no solutions or compensation for the major inconvenience.

Perfect hotel
Beautiful hotel. Very friendly staff. Good air con, fridge in the room, comfortable bed and great shower. Nice location about 5 min walk from the rambles so a little less busy but with lots of stores around. Highly recommend!

Stay disrupted by noise and insecurity
My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room was not soundproofed at all, and we were constantly disturbed by furniture being moved and doors slamming. This made it impossible to sleep properly for three days. Additionally, my girlfriend and I were robbed and assaulted near the hotel. The reception staff were not helpful in this difficult situation. They refused to contact our insurance before we went to the hospital and would not call a taxi for us because we had nothing to pay with immediately. We found out that theft is common in this area, which added to our feeling of insecurity. In summary, I strongly discourage staying at this hotel due to the constant noise and lack of safety.

Great stay at Hotel Gótico
All of the staff were extremely helpful. We couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant stay. Emilio and Francesco made sure we always had everything we needed whether it was in the hotel or any part of our travels. We booked Hotel Gótico for our return to Barcelona because of the quality staff.

Spacious and clean room and bathroom, comfortable beds. Staff went above and beyond to meet our needs. They made a GREAT impression. Breakfast was excellent, too. Great location, in the middle of Gotic part of the city, Cathedral and shopping was minutes away. 10 minute walking to marina, 20 minute walk to the beach.

The hotel was clean and in a wonderful location, convenient to the metro and historic sites as well. Issue with our mini fridge highlighted the mixed feeling that some locals seem to have with tourists (minimal attempt by maintenance workers to communicate with us, just passed us off to the front desk staff).
