The main purpose of a hotel room is to provide a good and confortable place to sleep. Adequate mattress and room temperature are essential. Unfortunately, this property does not check those boxes. The bed mattress was all worn out. The springs were compressed, it was lumpy, uneven and provided no support. The lateral side was lower than the center as a result of the natural action of people sitting on it to get it and out of the bed. This caused you to roll out of the bed. It was not confortable at all. The AC thermostat is programed to be no lower than 18C (64.4 F). The problem Is that the actual room temperature hovers around 22-24C (72-75F). For me, that is not comfortable. The thermostat display gives you the impression that you can set the AC to 16C in order to get the actual room temperature to 18C. But in reality it will not work because management fixed the AC to 18C. I know this because it happens that I travel with a thermometer and my several complains about the hot and humid room condition. I stayed there during the final week of September, was the outside temp is lower. My room was not the exception. I was given the opportunity to move to another room and offered me the chance of a previous inspection. However, after taking a look at it, it had the same problems. On the bright side, the hotel is located at the heart of Barcelona, with great dinning options in the vicinity and modern decoration. However, what good is that if you can't sleep confortable.

The Iberostar is perfectly located for waking to key sites in Barcelona. The view from the rooftop Skybar is great. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The water dispenser is so converted and better than single use bottles. Thanks for a great stay.

The hotel is in an excellent location and the rooms are nice but a typical small as in Europe. We don’t recommend this hotel because the air conditioning system is very bad. Inside of the room we were very hot . It was chequed and acording to the hotel standards was working properly No for us we were very unhappy with the temperature inside. I don’t understand how they do when outside temperature outside was only 50’s-70’s. Our room was hotter than the outside, we visited in early October. For summer time I don’t recommend at all. The rest of the facility was ver good and clean. Breakfast was good. It’s just uncomfortable in the room!

Location was AWESOME! Hotel is 1 or 2 minutes walk from the metro station for L1, L3 and R2 lines and 5 mins to L2 line (Sagrada Familia). Front desk staff was friendly but unfortunately, the housekeeping was extremely slow and almost non existent. We would return hotel for siesta around 3 pm or 4 pm and our room was still not cleaned and made. There were fruit flies in our room. I tried to kill as many of them as possible but they returned. Not sure where they came from. You can hear street noises and traffic from the room even though windows are closed. I didn't sleep well with the persistent noises. Also, some homeless were camping out towards the right when you leave the hotel. Overall a good hotel if you are looking for a convenient walkable hotel to all attractions. I think for the same price, one could get a cleaner and quieter hotel somewhere in same neighborhood.

We were welcomed and treated with kindness and respect the minute we walked in the doors! The front staff are incredible and went out of their way to help!! Our room was exceptional- amazing views, big comfy bed and super cool TV!! We loved it here and will definitely stay again when we come back to barcelona!!

The room was very small. For the price I paid $400 a night it wasn’t worth it. The water in the shower accumulated and everything was coming out of the shower. I asked the front desk personnel and nothing was done. I requested a room upgrade as I had a VIP access it was denied as they didn’t have room available. Not worth the $

The elevators were really slow and tiny, but location was good. Some of the staff were good; others were unresponsive, such as at the rooftop bar, where five of us waited to put our orders in for one hour. Nobody came, so we left. There were no other customers!
