Excellent location but inconsistent experience

The staff at this hotel is great and super attentive including the luggage porters and security. Raul from guest relations was excellent resource. The hotel is an excellent location. However where this hotel suffers is the wide variance between rooms even of the same category. My second stay here in span of two weeks, and my room this time was 829 with spectacular view of sagrada familia and massive terrace. This room was much nicer than my 3rd floor terrace room with ugly view. My other room I booked for my parents was 803. A tiny terrace without dated bathroom. We were able to switch to 123 which was a little better. Still just such a big difference between rooms makes for inconsistent experience. The pillows must be updated. And the towels are in need of update in my opinion

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Barcelona for the first time! Stuff was very kind and helpful, great location, amazing amenities starting from good coffee in the room to beautiful view from the pool on the top of the hotel. Special thank you to Andrea & Rocio for the amazing experience at bar Eleven BCN at the rooftop bar!

Great location but room for improvement.

Stayed 2 night at this hotel. Its location is excellent. One of the best areas to stay in Barcelona. The front desk staff are excellent and attentive. Tons of security in the front as well. As for the room. I had room with terrace. The terrace was huge but it did not have a decent view at all, which was disappointing. Bathroom was fine. Closet was in weird location that didn’t really let you store luggage in there. Bed was sturdy but mattress could be softer. However the pillows were awful. Also rooms let a lot of sound in (not from The outside) but from the hallways. In the morning you can hear people entering & leaving roommates, hear house keeping etc. It is a little annoying when you are trying to sleep in. Nice rooftop and the breakfast buffet is excellent.

The location of the hotel is quite good, but the service attitude of the staff was truly shocking. The front desk staff were impatient, indifferent, and even mocked the guests. This is the first time in my life I have ever encountered such treatment. Before choosing this hotel, we had read reviews and carefully compared different options before deciding to stay here. I suggest that anyone considering this hotel think twice before booking.

While the location of this property is undeniably excellent, everything else fell far short of expectations for a 5-star hotel. I would generously rate it at 3 stars maximum. The interior felt dated and worn, with damaged furniture, strange layouts, and an overall lack of upkeep. The design choices were confusing—particularly in my room, where the hallway had a frosted glass window with no curtain, offering minimal privacy. I’ve stayed in many hotels, and I’ve never encountered such an odd and impractical design. The check-in process was also poorly organized, with a queue forming in front of the entrance, obstructing access to the elevator and creating an awkward flow. In short, this property is in serious need of renovation and modernization. It simply does not look like a 5-star hotel to me.
