Newly remodeled and furnished rooms; great locatio
Newly remodeled and furnished, comfortable rooms on one of the best streets in Barcelona, with a great view of the street from the room. Friendly and helpful staff. It is a small hotel and does not have a bar or restaurant; however, there are many great cafes, bars and restaurants literally right outside the front door of the hotel. The hotels is on the floor above the ground floor, which was being remodeled during my stay.

Nice hotel close to La Rambla
Entrance abit off putting but once inside a nice,clean hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Close to Playa da Cataluyna. In easy walking distance to majority of places to see. Barcelona is a wonderful city to visit,lots to see,will have to go again as didn't get to see it all in 3 days.

The hotel was ok the lobby area was unusual I was not sure where to go we had to take the elevator to the 2nd floor the reception area was where the rooms were it was unusual when u get off on the 2nd floor u did not know where to go there were no signs u had to knock on a door so they could let u in the door was closed because the air conditioning was on

A gem! clean and quaint..
excellent hotel! . great location and friendly desk attendants. Doesnt have any drawers or closet space but very clean and quaint. Good if your not interested in big lobbys and all the fuss.

Experience at The Moods
The hotel location was excellent as we could walk to everywhere. I do however think that some renovation to the downstairs to make it more inviting would be lovely. The air condition in the room was great, a mirror and a chair would have been nice to have. I give a 10+ for the staff, extremely helpful and very polite. Thank you!

I have to give the staff props for being accommodating and personable. The room was quite small, in the sense that you can't open the balcony door because of the bed, so you need to climb over the bed to go outside. The balcony was nice, and the staff was nice enlige to find us a couple of chairs, so we could sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine while watching the lively street. The neighborhood is good for shopping, with the big brands in the next street over or little boutique stores in the side streets. It's also a short walking distance (15 min) from la rambla and the gothic quarter. Few of Gaudi's architecture is nearby. The cleanliness of the room was lacking. Walls are dirty, and it seems that the middle part of the shelves/tables are cleaned so the space towards the edges are dusty/dirty I recommend the location, but the hotel it self is lacking.

Excellent hotel
Great location, within walking distance to major attractions and many restaurants/shops right outside the hotel. Room was very comfortable, clean and had a great balcony. Hotel staff were very nice and super helpful. Would definitely stay there again!

Can't say enough about how great it was
We stayed at The Moods for two nights and wish we could’ve stayed longer! The staff was amazing from staying late for our late check-in to giving us tips and suggestions for sightseeing. We’ve stayed in a variety of hotels from luxury to budget and this was far and away one of the best experiences we have had. The room was small but it had everything we needed - a great air conditioning system (important for hot summer nights!), a TV and a comfortable bed. To top it off, The Moods is in an amazing location and had super clean rooms. Can’t wait to go back to Barcelona and stay with them again!

The location was great, especially if you like access to shopping, cafés, mobs of pedestrians, automobile traffic on the sidewalk, and associated noise. The staff was very helpful. The hotel was slightly cramped, and very stingy on the towels, with a sign saying that they would like to decrease the amount of detergent secreted into the sea from excessive laundering.

cute hotel, location is in a nice neighborhood
i like the cozy feeling but the rooms are small so don't expect too much. it's nice to have complimentary snackies in the room. i thought it was a nice touch. staff were super friendly and helpful. they made good recommendations for food as well

Hotel near to central attractions but still quiet
We booked an inner room which we found to be very claustrophobic and dark, no natural light, air con very noisy unable to keep on all night therefore hot, okay for 2 day stay. Experience marred by noise from building work next door. Beds new and really good, rest of furniture very scruffy and bathroom needed good clean. Staff were very good and helpful. Disappointed no communal area or dining room for breakfast. Travelled by train from holiday home in south west Spain which found to be excellent as followed oast

Great service and location; nice private terrace!
This was a small boutique hotel with great service (very friendly, helpful staff). The room was small but clean and modern, and we loved the private terrace. Our room was in the back courtyard off the street so it was very quiet.

Once is enough but not for the next time.
I paid around US $110 for one night. Overall,it was not worth for it. The room.is very tiny, even we couldn't open our luggage. Terrace was good but its very close to next room and everyone open the door , you can hear the sounday, it was noisy. However, the staff was very kind and friendly.

Trip with friends to celebrate a Big birthday
This hotel is on the first floor of an old building, more a corridor with rooms off it. No lounge area or dinning area, very small reception area, but the rooms were contemporary , modern, clean. Beds really comfortable. Tea making facilities with biscuits available in room. Some rooms had balconys but we had a room with a window but no view. It was very quiet didn't hear any noise from the other guests, although we saw some. The staff who managed the reception were fantastic, very helpful spoke very good English, it was like having tourist information centre on tap. No breakfast facilities but meant we got up and out. There are lots of places to eat locally and bakery shops, so would buy a pastry and coffee. One morning we had breakfast in a cafe on the beach, took 30 minutes by metro. Had a really enjoyable few days.

Upscale hostel. Not a hotel.
Had I gone in with the expectation that this was a hostel, I'd be very satisfied. However, Hotels.com marketed this incorrectly and fell a bit short of what we thought we'd be getting. I mark this error on hotels.com, not to discredit The Moods. Outside of that - staff was very friendly and accommodating. Good location.

Location is a bit of a walk from the Aerobus. 10 minutes walk from other reviews sounds about right. Affordable in a good part of town, close proximity to a lot of tapas bar/restaurants, but far from the beach

Great location, but that's all.
I suppose it would have been fine 200 years ago when it was built, but not anymore. I expected much more for the money, and was sorely disappointed. No phone in room, one tiny trash can, no place to put luggage. Tiny slow elevator, AIrCond that was programmed to turn off at 8 and again at 10 AM tho checkout wasn't til 11, scale on coils in bottom of coffee pot for the provided instant coffee packs was a turn off. Sweet and helpful desk worker could not make up for all the rest. Stay at Fairmont and use hop on/ hop off bus pass, or very inexpensive taxi, for much better experience.
