The room and bathroom was very clean and was a good size as was the king bed.The building outside could be washed and our patio needed sweeping too as it was dated. The staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast itself was underwhelming and basic but the room was clean and the gentleman taking care of it was friendly. It was a central location. Stay was quite adequate.

Overall we were very pleased with the Heron. We had a two bed two bath room that felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. Full kitchen was a nice feature as well as the expansive balcony. It’s a little tired and could use an update, but it was very clean, which we really appreciated. The staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly. Fairly close to town and right across the highway from the ocean never hurts either.

Heron's Landing is our go-to hotel when we need to travel to Campbell River from the North Island for medical appointments or other reasons. I know there have been a few bumps in the transition to new owners and staff, but I think the problems will smooth out. Tannis at the front desk has been so helpful with everything we've needed, even washing and setting aside my son's blanket when we forgot it. The kitchenettes are the bomb, with closets perfect for hide and seek. If you're from North Vancouver Island, there's a discount for locals who need to travel.

Herons Landing is a great property. The first thing that struck us was the incredibly accommodating staff. As we travelled with dogs, the staff made sure we(and the dogs) were well looked after. The room had a microwave and a mini fridge which helped with our stay. We had no issues with the room or the facility at all. The breakfast room sure was nice as well. We used the underground garage to park so felt the vehicle was safe. A great location as well. Overall, a very positive experience, and yes, we'll stay there again.

This is an older hotel but although it was old it wasn't dirty, in fact it was cleaner than most hotels I've stayed in. You could possibly call it dingy, but definitely not dirty. I'd say more eclectic or retro. We originally booked the family suite, but it wasn't available when we arrived. They moved use to another suite with an adjoining room and gave us a substantial discount. Personally I liked that we had the adjoining room it made it more private and we got two bathrooms that way. The balcony had an incredible view of the ocean and we got to watch the cruise ships come in, they are all lit up at night. It was fairly quiet, but I personally believe that noise depends on the guests. We were lucky to have very respectful guests. I would definitely stay here again.
