Beautiful old hotel with an amazing history of guest including Napoleon. Maintained to a high standard. Nice breakfast and even better evening meal in the main restaurant. You need to book dinner as they do not have many tables. The staff were amazingly helpful and polite. A great stay and perfect location for site seeing the Avignon.

Prefect location for exploring Old Port and the rest of Marseille. I had a room with a view of the harbor and Norte Dame cathedral; truly a room with a view. The hotel is older and showing its age in the dated red carpets, however, it is clean and well maintained. Has a nice lounge area and an outdoor cafe. The main reason to stay here is the location and views. Across the street are the boats that take you to Chateau d’If and the Calanque coastline; Calanque is definitely worthwhile trip. Multiple restaurants and the main Canabiere boulevard are steps away.

disappointing stay at this hotel. The room had a strong, unpleasant odor the moment I walked in, which made it very uncomfortable. Basic amenities were missing — there were no cups, no tea bags, and no setup for making a hot drink, which I expected as standard. The lobby also needs serious attention. The furniture is old, worn out, and not properly cleaned, giving a poor first impression as soon as you enter the property. Overall, the experience fell far below expectations, and the hotel needs major improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and guest comfort.

Gorgeous property with amazing views. Great buffet breakfast value. On the negative side, my room didn’t have a shower head and the gym was quite small.

We had a great time staying at this hotel. There were some hiccups like our key not working and an early fire alarm but overall our stay was great. The staff made it the best so we want to thank all and let everyone know we appreciated the kindness shown which made our stay very memorable.
