The room that we had was A bit noisy outside due to cars passing by

there's no utensils in the room to use.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—from the front desk team to the lifeguards. Everyone made us feel welcome and provided excellent service throughout our stay. The breakfast was great, with a good variety of options, although I would have appreciated a fish dish as an additional choice. My only minor complaint is the toilet seat in our room. It was quite wobbly and seems like it’s due for a replacement. Aside from that, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider coming back.

Hotel did not have the room reserved when we got there (two beds rather than the requested/booked one king size bed) + that room was simply not clean. They managed to change us the next day -this time a much better (bigger and much softer) bed + the room was better situated and cleaner

The only reason I gave Appleton Boutique Hotel 2 stars is because the staff were very polite, friendly and resourceful. Besides that, the lobby windows were always dirty during breakfast time I had roaches crawling on my table, even on my mother’s plate on more than one occasion. The lobby after hours always smelt like pest control spray. I even saw mice droppings near the food serving area. Disgusting!!! I will never return!

I like the peace and tranquil surroundings staff were helpful friendly and obliging. Room was relatively clean bedsheets felt clean but do notice a few ants on used utensils; Aircon in the room is slightly noisy and the shower head water pressure was not strong enough. Food in restaurants can be better but breakfast is above average especially the eggs cooked in many ways. Overall we like our stay my husband like the kampong feel of the non AC lobby reminded him of the old days. I give it a good 4 stars.
