The French Quarter Inn is an amazing hotel! You are greeted with champagne at check-in, and then are provided with a wine and cheese reception in the evening and cookies and milk later on! The property is immaculately kept and you see the fine touches that set this hotel apart everywhere you look. This is our favorite hotel in Charleston and it is a “must-stay!”

I have stayed in several lovely hotels in Charleston over the years, but the French Quarter Inn was by far the best experience I’ve had. From our arrival to our check-out, everyone my family encountered at the hotel was friendly, courteous and professional. The room was comfortable, clean and well-appointed. The amenities are fantastic! We enjoyed the breakfast, the wine and cheese and the warm cookies. The fitness center was great, too. My compliments to hotel management and staff on providing an excellent experience for your guests. The hotel is in a great location for those wanting to explore the city. I highly recommend the French Quarter Inn.

Great Hotel-but it's under renovation (needs TLC)
Great hotel - but I think it got it's #1 status when it was a little newer and the staff a little more engaged. They are very competent--everything was excellent - but nothing was really exceptional. I guess based on the high reviews I expected more--and perhaps we should have been warned about renovations (which are really needed). When they finish this might go back to being the Grand Dame of CHS. Today is it not.
