The hotel is in an excellent location to MUSC, West Ashley, and James Island. Our room had a beautiful view back toward MUSC and the city. The desk agents were friendly and helpful. While the rooms have been updated there needs to be better maintenance given the older nature of the property. I would stay at this property again but I hope they’ll invest in maintenance a bit more.

The hotel has a beautiful setting, overlooking the Ashley River and Charleston harbor. This is an older Holiday Inn and has not been refurbished. The restaurant located at the 13th floor has a panoramic view from every table, but a limited menu. We found the salmon for dinner to be quite good. Breakfast is not “free”, unlike most other IHG hotels.
