The hotel was a great place to stay for every need you have to be in Charleston. We enjoyed our stay very much with an exception of our room being at the elavators. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise coming and going. Other than that we would stay there again.

Overall, the hotel was solid, but it is extremely dated and isn’t worth the price. We had to ask to get our sheets cleaned again when we first got there because we were extremely itchy after the first night sleeping. The shower leaked all night and the tub would automatically drain water because the drain wouldn’t seal. The pool area was decent, but it was extremely crowded and mainly full of non-hotel guests. Overall, decent place but there are definitely better options in Charleston for the price.

I recently stayed at the Mills House Charleston, and unfortunately, my experience was not up to expectations. The room lacked adequate soundproofing. I could clearly hear conversations and movements from the corridor and the adjacent room, which disrupted my rest. More concerning was that I woke up with multiple itchy bites, which I suspect may have been from bed bugs. I did not report this to the hotel staff at the time, but I believe it’s important to share this experience so that management can investigate and address any potential issues. While the hotel’s location and historic charm are appealing, these issues significantly impacted my stay.
