Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. We were there midweek though so it probably wasn't as busy as it could be which was nice. The room we got was nice in general though dated which I think is part of the charm of the place. I would agree (with other reviews) that improvements/updates are warranted and expected for the price you pay. The other thing to note is the $29/night resort fee that is charged upon arrival. They should just include it in the overall price. Why make it an extra charge when you arrive? It just feels like another charge they are milking.

We stay here at least 1-2 times a year. We have worked out the flaws each time except this time we did not know there is no housekeeping on sundays. So i waited until 7pm to follow up and they mentioned that to me. I ran out of toilet paper (it was already ½ used), kleenex (more than ¾ used), my garbages were all full and we needed more towels (stayed with my famoly of 4).

Checking in we felt almost shamed for booking through Expedia. While unloading & going to grab a cart we were told they were only for the bell boys. They were locked up. Our room was a garden view that ended up looking onto a roof. Right outside our room there were huge stains all over the carpet. My husband had a few private work meetings he had to take and we were then told after trying to connect the wifi that it was out on our part of the hotel. When reserving we checked the pool closures and it stated the lap pool would be closed. Upon getting there with three children they had the family pool closed. We had only two towels in our room. Then had to askfor two more. There was no signage about pool towels and no one knew where to get them. Then to find out you had to use your room ones so they had to get us more towels. Which also took forever. When away I love being able to go workout early before my family wakes up. This hotels gym doesn’t open until 9…. Front desk stated there are rooms above so of course it’s closed. I was very upset. I was told to use the lap pool to swim laps… which isn’t even available as they use it for family’s right now. My husband went to the front desk to ask to speak with a manager and there wasn’t one on shift in the middle of the day. Asked for one to get back to us- no call. Our friends were staying in the cabins. No extra garbage bags, phone didn’t work the whole time. Coffee maker broken. Chair had tears. Place is rundown.

Some rude staff

Waited one hour and half after check in for robe to go to the pool. Staffs are very rude. Asked one of housekeeper next door to see if she has some robe with her, she said no. Then we asked her if she can help to call someone to bring us the robe because when we called no one was picking up the phone. She replied very rudely “I can’t help you”, that’s all she said. Told reception what happened, they did not care either.

Very nice soak in the pools , pools had lots of debri floating and the area around the outside pools needed sweeping and vacuuming of tree debris which stuck to everyone’s feet and went in the pools otherwise nice place

Checked in, went to our room and it wasn't ready. Front desk very apologetic and put us in an upgraded room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful area, would go again. Some of the other floors need to be upgraded, getting dated.
