Nice family get away.

The lobby was well appointed and the front desk staff was friendly. The room left a little to be desired. There were what appeared to be blood stains on the carpet, a small amount not like a crime scene, and several other stains. The shower barely worked due to a plumbing issue that we notified them about at our checkout. The bathroom overall was a little rundown with paint pealing.

You can hear every time someone takes a step, which is not a big deal because it’s a hotel. I expect it. After only being there for 40 minutes we received a call that there were complaints about my children running in our room. It was 3:25pm. My kids were excited to be out of the car and stretch their legs, but every step they took made a noise even when they walk. Felt like we had to tiptoe around the room the rest of the time. All night we heard loud steps from above us and around us.

Didn't like that Handicap Rooms are on the 4th Floor??? Not easy access, if you have to bring in multiple items. Pool was freezing.Staff said heater was broke!? Breakfast was ok. NO BACON :( Juices all tasted watered down.

The staff were so nice, the hotel and room was very clean! Breakfast in the am was great! Not much else to say, I don’t have anything to complain about! If you’ve read any bad reviews, they’re dramatic. I am very picky and a tough critic and I was highly impressed!

Comfortable but can be distracting during the day
Rooms are nice, in good condition, well maintained, and clean. Desk staff friendly and helpful. The window blind setup cannot block all light during the day due to interference from the air conditioning unit. Noise from upper floors and the hallway was higher than average at times. Overall the stay was comfortable and we would return.

Holiday Inn Express is quickly becoming my favorite brand. The rooms are very comfortable, quiet, and very reasonable. The beds are comfortable and clean. I don't hear other people walking in the hallway or in the floor above me. I would recommend this property to anyone travelling to Mason and Cincinnati.
