The hotel is in an excellent position in the centre of Derby. Unfortunately having been out for the evening and returning not particularly late at 10.30 I found that I couldn’t get a hot chocolate or coffee at this time as “the coffee machine is turned off at 10.00”. The hairdryer in my room didn’t work and I had a poor night sleep (the busy main road outside meant it was too noisy to have the window open and the air conditioning too noisy to keep on)

Lovely helpful staff.

Service at the hotel was great, particularly Vanessa who checked us in and stored our bags for us. Breakfast was lovely too. There was a reasonable amount of road noise but I travel with earplugs so that didn’t disturb my sleep.
