Breakfast was good. Love Five hygiene products.No elevator very difficult for 2 seniors to climb stairs with stuff to stay.. Did not have 2 bedside lamp/light or plug in on both sides of the bed. Had to plug in phone and hear ing aid charger on desk which was across the room #231.

Easy access to location, very dated furnishings. The bed in our room was so worn out, it had very deep dents in both sides, flat pillows, overall not a comfortable bed/bedding.

The lady at check in was very friendly and knew her job. Have to go outside to use the quickest route to room, run down a bit, older, bed was good and clean as were the bathrooms. Entering the hallway to our room there was a strong strong smell of weed. Our key didnt work when we tried it, but check in lady walked us back to our room (outside) after we had to walk back to the desk because we couldnt get our key to work. It should be cheaper priced. Not bad for one night, but not our 1st pick.

For $160 plus a night I had torn curtains, pilly sheets, no Kleenex. Won’t recommend that place to anyone. The staff was rude. Wyndham hotels are getting worse

No Bar
Check in/out was very easy. One of the reasons my parents chose this location was because the website said there was a bar in the hotel. When we arrived there was a large sign for the bar on the actual Baymont street sign. Once inside it was clear the bar had not been operational for a very long time. No big deal, we asked permission to sit at a table with our own beer and visit. We put our beer in the little mini fridge behind the bar (the bar had zero alcohol in it). A little girl 7/8 yrs old, was running in and out, it was clear that this was her playroom while grandma was working the counter. The little girl was A LOT. Then another person came in, friend/relative of counter person, while my step mom was getting our beer out of the fridge and starting yelling that she was not allowed behind the bar. Meanwhile the little girl is throwing toys by our heads, watching cartoons on the tv and swinging a pool cue around. We left the bar area after the unpleasant conversation, went to our rooms and the first thing I see is a box elder bug on my pillow. Not a big deal, we are from a rural area and know they harmless. Other than that the room was nice and clean. We don't want anyone to lose their jobs, but thought you should be aware of our treatment. Our ages range from 55 - 73 yrs old so it is not like we were rowdy guests.

We did not like the lay out of the property. The room had kind of a weird smell. Carpet had lots of stains. Staff didn’t come to front desk for check in until we had called the phone for quite some time.

It was dirty. Room wasn’t available when we arrived with no ETA of when it would be ready. Advertised bar and they haven’t had a bat since Covid. Sheets had holes. grout missing mold showing. We checked out 3 days early and ate the cost because it was so disgusting

It makes me very sad to have to write this review. First of all, our card was charged before we even checked in. Upon check in the front desk attendant told us that the faucet on the hot tub was broken so don’t bother calling about it. You’d need a pliers to get it on. (We paid extra to have a hot tub in the room). The TV did not work at all. We were told too bad and that we would get a “nice discount”. The next day the TV still did not work and when we tried to use the hot tub the drain plug would not come up so we were unable to. The room was nasty. Stains and mold. When we checked out the staff was rude. We were told the GM would call us back and that never happened. We stayed here years ago and it was not like this. The place must have switched hands and gone WAY downhill. The whole place was super hot too. We didn’t take a chance on the breakfast because the state of the property was so bad you would not want to eat there. There are many other hotels in Dubuque that are better. Based on this experience we will never stay here again. This could have all been resolved without a bad review if our phone call had been returned.
