The property itself is good, but the street condition around it may not always be that pleasant. Still, It is close to the sports centre and swimming pool and several restaurants so the location is not bad. However, there was basically no public transportation at all. I cannot see any buses, and I cannot use uber, so I ended up calling Duncan country cabs, which was great.

Over the years I have stayed here often. The new owners have fixed it up well. Very clean and convenient stop between Victoria and Campbell River. So many homeless. Huge fight with several people involved right at the corner as I arrived. I felt unsafe in parking log :(

It was way cheaper than the other available pet friendly properties. I was expecting basic and it was - the title says "Motor Inn" and it was one. It was exactly what was needed. It had washing machines, an ice machine, a few plastic chairs outside the rooms and a place to sleep. Yes, kind of seedy area, but not important if you are only using it to sleep, put stuff in the fridge, etc. Some members of our party said the rooms were dirty. Ours was really clean.

We had dirty bed sheets, musty gross smell, tubs were dirty with brown ring around them, Baseboards dirty boogers on the walls and baseboards, insects crawling around, dirt and debris under sofa bed, tv not working, so much noise from the streets
