This hotel is converting to a Spark and looks nothing like the pictures. The hotel is in disarray, with paint cans and other construction debris in the hallways and public areas. Ice machines did not work, the lock to our room did not work and the whole lock had to be physically replaced - leaving the door open for 30 minutes while we were already in the room. The curtains were practically see through and did not cover the entire window, so that an outside light shone directly in our eyes when in bed.

This was a great find in a small town with few choices for a wedding weekend. It is very close to downtown and was reasonably priced. Although decor is traditional-a-la-1994, it totally works with the double staircase, numerous comfy common areas + friendly staff. Recommendations for the hotel - or for travelers to bring if important - would be to add a full length dressing mirror somewhere in the rooms. That was the only thing missing and I’d definitely stay again.

The hotel is in the process of remodeling, this some things may be excused, but no tv (no hooked up?), no ice bucket, hallways with drywall sandings & chips on floor, no baggage carts available at checkout, etc., thus much too expensive stay for the situation. Staff were ok.

I was very surprised to walk in and the place was being renovated. They were still working at 6:30pm. We were on the third floor so it was peaceful in our room. I was very upset that there was no machines in the hotel. I am ok with the renovations but they could have left at least one ice machine in working order.

Room had a kitchen area there was dirt and pieces of wood in all drawers and cabinets. The icebox had a water and ice dispenser neither worked. The room had a very strong paint smell. There was a ceiling tile missing. Couldn't block out the light from the front of the hotel. The whole hotel was cover in dust they are doing renovations but could have done a better job cleaning. The sofa and chairs in the room were covered in stains.

This hotel was under construction. They should not be open during this time. They were ripping up floors, painting and extensively remodeling. Construction started at 8am and was very loud. dust everywhere. Neither Hotels.com or the hotel itself every mentioned this when I booked the room. This is unexeptable. I expect better.

After arrival, they said only lobby being renovated, however the lobby ceiling is 2 stories high (2nd floor), our hallway and room were covered in construction dust, plastic sheeting partially taped to our door frame. Have asthma and could not breath, hotel refused to refund 1st night although we could not and did not stay there.

The inn is definitely under construction but the staff are doing all they can to make everyone comfortable in the midst of the mess. We came back to the inn midday when they were installing new air conditioners and they promptly switched ours out quickly and efficiently so we could get our Afternoon rest. Breakfast area was thoroughly cleaned each morning and breakfast was great…sausage, eggs, biscuits, waffles. Warm clean towels were dropped off also! Check-in was easy and the staff are clearly working under difficult conditions. To be honest, our first impression was “no, this isn’t right” but the staff made our two days there great and we embraced the mess as progress. Our room was beautifully remodeled and comfortable. The inn will be amazing when the remodel is done!

After checking in and getting to our room we discovered we were given a double queen instead of the king that was reserved. Front desk said she couldn’t do anything cause I reserved a double queen thru Expedia which I didn’t. The tub in the bathroom had a build up of gunk around the drain. When checking out I mentioned to the front desk the problem we had the night before with the reservation and she said the reason we were given a double queen room is because there were no kings available. I wish they would make a decision on the reason our reservation was not honored. Also, the hotel is under renovation which was not mentioned when making the reservation. The workers were working and making noise until 7pm and started the next morning before 9. I would not recommend this hotel.
