Room was not as described in ad, bed linens stained and towels stained and white towels browned and stained, bathroom ceiling stained and looked as if it would fall in toilet shaking and did not flush, sink was stained dirty and hairs laying around, lastly before 11am chckout time (1030 ish) they knocked on door and asked for us to be out by 11. Will never stay there again. Outside was also not like nice picture, very disgusted

Had a late check in @11pm. Front desk rep was friendly and professional. Check in was quick. Room was very clean. Bathroom was very clean. Sheets and pillows were clean and bed was very comfortable. No hassle about late checkout. Cleaning staff were very respectful and courteous. Excellent stay. I recommend The Landmark in Hartsville, SC. I will definitely be staying here again.

The room was very dirty, dust everywhere, it almost look like the room hasn’t been cleaned in several weeks. We had to leave first thing in the morning as we started feeling sick. I would like to request a refund as this was not at all what was described in the hotel information.

The room was infested with roaches. I didn’t get any rest thinking about bugs in our clothes or the bed. The bathroom was mediocre at best. The whole room needed updating. Peeling paint and the carpet felt sticky. The location was ok. Lot of places nearby.

This place is not a safe or clean place to stay! I was supposed to be there for 2 nights with my family, including children 12 and under, and it was so FILTHY with very questionable activities going on right outside our doors, we left after one sleepless night. I complained and got no offer of a refund for the night we did not stay, only a very disrespectful’sorry’. If you care about your family, do NOT go to this hotel!

Terrible place to stay

The rooms were nasty. I have photos of what looks like pee on the walls that wasn’t cleaned and all the door casing were grimy. The room was outdated and did not look like the rooms in the photos. The fridge and microwave barely worked and the AC in one of the rooms didn’t get cool. We had 2 rooms joined and one was a little nicer looking but the toilet seat was broken and the bathtub and sinks had burn marks and were gross. I will not stay here again. It was way overpriced for what we got and we had to many kids with us to change rooms and wait for a refund. Plus it was only 3 nights and the stress of changing hotels after we got into town wasn’t worth it. The continental breakfast was less than satisfactory. Had to wait for more coffee and waffle mix at 8am. Breakfast was between 7-9, which isn’t a long window and they couldn’t keep items stocked. It wasn’t busy, and the breakfast area didn’t have many people. All the mattress pad covers were torn underneath and the corners torn as well so it didn’t fit the bed well. The beds were comfortable but I definitely had to check for bedbugs before bringing our stuff in. It was a rip off and the only reason prices were so high for such a terrible place is because it was race weekend and Labor Day. The lamps were missing light bulbs. The housekeeping staff were really nice and the front desk staff were nice except for the owner. He tried to 2 pet fees for one pet because we had 2 rooms. Wash cloth had yellow stains.

This hotel was downright awful. The room was dirty, the sheets felt unwashed, and the microwave didn’t even work. We stayed two nights and not once did anyone come by to make the beds or bring fresh towels. The food was mediocre at best. Honestly, the pictures online are completely misleading—this place looks nothing like what they advertise. The only reason we stuck it out was because we were in town for the races and hardly spent any time there, but if you care at all about cleanliness or comfort, avoid this hotel.
