Staff great, breakfast really good and the location is perfect

We stayed for eight nights. The staff is very helpful and polite. The room was clean, the bedding was very comfortable. The only thing that gave an impression other than cleanliness is the hotel carpet, both in the room and the hallway and stairs. It is worn and it has been cleaned many times to remove stains. I would still consider the room clean regardless but it gave a poor impression. Don’t get me wrong, I was very happy with my stay and I would stay again. Should you book a room here don’t hesitate to include the breakfast. It was very very nice and the staff made it even more enjoyable. Thank you Hotel Grand Bellevue.

Outstanding hotel ,charming ,stylish and top quality.

Staff were great, there's free parking and the room was clean and had air conditioning. A bit further out of Lille but close to the metro and the newly developed Gare Saint Saveur.

It’s a beautiful building and an exceptional location. But I struggle to see how this can be a 4 star. The carpet on the rooms is very very old and stained, the bed sheets are so short that they keep moving about and you end up sleeping on the raw mattress, and the air dryier is one of those wall mounted ones - which I don’t think I have ever seen in a 4 star. I asked whether I could get a normal plug-to-wall one but I was told no (I’m not the most kind of manners)

Conveniently located for the train station with plenty of shops, eateries etc. nearby. Secure access from ground level, with stair access immediately to reception. Easy and welcome check in. Stairs to all floors. I don't mind a small room when I'm travelling, as I only sleep there. However, if you are a larger person or travelling as a pair you may find (at least the room I was in) to be at your limit. The shower is very tight for space and there is limited walking space between furniture. That said the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

The rooms smell like smoke. I suspect either People still smoke in the rooms or they haven't change the furniture since it was disallowed in France. There were some cigarettes holes in couch. I was there during a terrible heatwave and the hotel had no solution for the heat. Staff wanted to help but had nothing to offer to deal with terrible heat at night. With worsening global warming I suggest not to use this hotel in summer months.
