My husband & I got away for a couple of days prior to Christmas to soak up the sun. I looked for a "Resort" on the beach in Fort Lauderdale. I wanted a beach view. We did get that but, although the desciption mentioned a spa, a bar with an unusual mermaid show, a restaurant, and ideal location none of this was open and or available any longer. Apparently we learned from staff that recently the hotel had been bought and all of those things were done away with.
The room was clean and "ok" At night the room was very dark with only 2 bedside lamps. The small setting area had no lamps or lighting. There was no trash receptacle in the bathroom, no pen or paper by the bed, The phone for the front desk or room service from the small bar did not work.In the end our bill was $1,400 for three nights. The room portion was $738.00 meaning the rest was resort charges and parking. I would not call this a resort. We paid for resort amenities and they did not offer any. Disappointed.
