pre cruise stay

My partner and I stayed here on Valentine's Day the night before our cruise left. It was within walking distance to a couple restaurants and we were very comfortable in the room. The staff was very nice. They put us on the main floor and we basically stepped out of our room into the breakfast area. It wasn't a big deal- it made me laugh. We would stay here again.

This hotel is very close to the airport and cruise port. Hotel felt somewhat worn and not clean especially carpets and furniture. Front desk staff was friendly when we arrived but the woman on check out was short with us and seemed unwilling to interact when we asked questions. We didn’t feel safe walking around the area at night and very few dining options that were walkable. I will say we went to Three Sons Brewery next door and food and beer was very good and priced fairly.

AIRPORT hotel with NO MORINING SHUTTLE

This hotel makes it's money off the AIRPORT. It literally has AIRPORT in its name, but it doesn't start the shuttle until 5:30 in the morning. My flight was at 6 AM. I complained extensively to Alex, the front desk manager, who had just disappointed another guest who had an early flight. To his credit, he got the shuttle company to show up at 4:30 so that I and 5 other guests made our flights, but the owner should open the schedule up to 4 AM at least because THIS IS THEIR BREAD AN BUTTER. I shoud not have to complain. Also, the email from hotels.com (which the owner has control over) does NOT state the hotel's number so you can call them and request pickup the at the AIRPORT. It also doesn't tell you where to wait for their shuttle. If you're tired, layed over by Spirit Airlines may they rot in hell, then you really don't know what's going to happen or how to get picked up. Seriously, take the guest into consideration! Give them the information to use what you're selling and make what you're selling useful. That's basic business. I know because I owned a hotel for 17 years.

Mold on underside of sofabed!!!!!

My family and I stayed 5 nights, the overall stay was fine and would have had no complaints except for the MOLD I discovered on our last day. My son and I both experienced allergic reactions and sinus infections from breathing that mold over the course of our stay. We couldn't figure out why we got sick until the last day when I was tidying the room for our departure and checking to make sure everything was back in place. They refused to refund me because I booked with a third party (hotels.com). They have yet to even give any type of membership points like the front desk clerk stated she would do upon our check out.
I noticed mold all over the sofa bed.
