Construction impacts

We were able to check in early which was nice because we were exhausted. The room was wonderful. However, it’s under complete construction and there was no forewarning about that. All amenities are closed and the front lobby is gone so the staff has a makeshift counter and the parking lot was chaotic. It’s noisy with construction but I also heard what I think was an adjacent room’s toilet or water and it was so loud it could be mistaken for someone else in our bathroom. But really the room was great with a nice view and the staff we encountered were friendly. It’s just the hotel needs to provide notice to people of what’s going on. I would have been disappointed if I was planning to vacation there. We only stayed one night.

The hotel is currently undergoing renovation. I was disappointed to find that the pool and bar area were closed. The new rooms, which are lovely, have a beautiful sitting area and a bedroom area. Unfortunately the hotel has not worked out the TVs in the rooms. I switched rooms three times before getting a room with working TVs. Hopefully the hotel will get the repairs and updates done soon. The property is in a great location for dining and shopping.

I checked in for this property online without issues, Amex processed the hold. Then the front desk canceled the order claiming the card didn’t work and immediately cancelled my booking and gave it to someone else. I guess they felt they could charge more for the holiday weekend. Cannot believe Marriott would try this but I guess that’s how their manager rolls.

They didn’t notify us about the construction until the day before we left, so couldn’t change anything! This property should be closed during renovation!! The mess it is under is unacceptable for a Marriott!! The fumes made us all sick! The noise was unbearable! The bar was a joke! And then they had the gall to charge us for a terrible breakfast! The pool was closed but we were only staying one night! We paid over $500 for 1 night! This should have been discounted to $100! Do NOT satay here until they are done! Very disappointed!!

This hotel is dirty with bad staffs. They are very unprofessional . They are not helpful at all to many complaining customers. The rooms were not ready as I arrived, while I waited in the lobby, I noticed the couch was old and dirty, the floor full of sand. I decided to canceled my booking and staffs had no issues with it and OK it. Unfortunately, they never canceled my booking and I got charged for it. Now I have to fight through these people to get my money back. This place needs a new management and refresh the facility. Very disappointed for the name Courtyard of Marriott.

Its the perfect location and the staff is great! NO WHERE was it ever mentioned during our booking that this hotel was planning construction during our stay. Everything was a mess!!!!!! NO pool NO fitness center and NO direct access to the beach. We were offered free fitness center use- over a mile away. We were given free beach loungers-which was nice- but other amenities such as umbrellas, drink/food service was not available. We had to pay $52 /day for valet parking -which was not anywhere mentioned. When this property is complete it will be AMAZING-however guests need to be made aware in advance that amenities are not avail and there is work being done. NO compensation was given during our stay. Our traveling partners room had an AC that would not turn off- the temp in their room was never warmer than 60 degrees!!!!!!!

We had no idea that the property was under construction. Lobby closed, pool closed, gym closed. No notification from anyone about this and paying a high nightly rate. Very disappointed. I would have canceled and changed to another hotel, but of course it was past the cancellation date to do that.

Hotel under construction so no pool or fitness center. They gave us free chairs and towels at the beach to make up for no pool. They did have a makeshift bistro as well. Location was great, Coconuts restaurant right across the street! I. The opposite direction was the ocean and beach.. very walkable with lots of beachside restaurants. Suite was new and very clean and comfortable! Good price for the package despite construction.

The property is currently under construction, resulting in a loud, dirty, and disorganized environment. Unfortunately, the pool and gym were closed during my stay, and I was only offered a coupon for a gym located a mile and a half away. The hotel lacked heating, and nighttime temperatures dropped to the high 30s (F). The bathroom was not equipped with a vent or fan, leading to a persistent moldy odor. Additionally, the water supply was turned off for half a day without prior notice. Upon departure, when we requested a luggage cart from the front desk, we were advised to search each floor ourselves, as there were two of us. If your plans involve more than just sleeping in the room (and being woken up at 7:30 am by jackhammering cement), I would recommend booking elsewhere. Valet is the only option for parking and it’s an additional $52/ day. I was extremely disappointed with this property, and it should be ashamed to operate under the Marriott name.
