First, the room was visibly worn and dated. The floors were **extremely dirty**, with stains and debris that made it clear cleaning had been neglected. The **bedding had a persistent musty odor**, which made it difficult to relax or sleep comfortably. Hygiene is a basic expectation, and this was a major letdown.
The bathroom was another problem. The shower curtain **did not close properly**, leaving gaps that allowed water to flood the entire floor during even brief showers.
