Disappointing Check-In Experience on Christmas Eve Night** I recently had the opportunity to stay at one of the more upscale hotels in Fort Lauderdale, excitedly treating myself for the holidays after a challenging time in my personal life. Unfortunately, my experience at check-in was far from what I had hoped for, especially given the resort industry's emphasis on customer service. Upon arrival around 10 PM on Christmas night, I was greeted by a front desk attendant who sadly did not embody the warmth or hospitality one would expect from a luxury establishment. Despite my attempts to engage him with a smile and lighthearted conversation, he remained unresponsive and abrupt, which was disheartening after a long day of travel. His comments were particularly discouraging. For instance, when discussing the hotel amenities, he bluntly informed me of the high price for bottled water without any courtesy or friendliness. I inquired about nearby stores where I could purchase water at a better price, and instead of assistance, I was met with a dismissive attitude. It felt as though I was a burden rather than a valued guest. I understand that working in customer service can be challenging, especially during busy holidays, but a simple smile and a welcoming demeanor go a long way in making guests feel appreciated and comfortable. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling inadequate and frustrated. I think the Grinch that steals Christmas is working at this hotel.

Believe the reviews, its a fun welcoming place.
Loads of good reviews, from the photos i was sceptical. Tbh its all about the staff, they make this place special. They made me feel welcome and did little things to help without being asked. E.g. i got in the lift, forgot i needed my card before i had time to get it put of my pocket, a passing staff member leaned into the elevator abd did it for me. Not huge, but the little touches by all the staff add up to explain why the hotel gets good reviews. Its quite dated, but very clean. Food is if great quality. Lots of towels provided in the room. I booked in for another 2 nights when im back from the cruise. Location, perfect, lots of stuff to do, and chilled ambience. Bit of a walk to a supermarket, but they have a very small shop on site. Has everything if you are lazy like me. But i ended up buying tiny mouth wash, and lots of expensive sea sick tablets. But my choice.

Be warry when booking your room. We though we where getting a regular size toom. Smallest bathroom I've ever seen. We made it work, but if you're claustrophobic, don't close the door! Everything else was perfect for our trip!

We loved the room size in the junior suite with river view balcony. The room we had did have a fire tv but not all rooms do. The bathroom is large but the shower/tub is rather small. The tub is not good to relax and soak in because the headrest area is compromised by the wall, making it uncomfortable. The shower has good pressure and temp. The water is discolored by tannins and seems to affect the effectiveness of conditioner. There are bottles of shower gel shampoo and conditioner provided and a bar of soap, lotion and shower cap. We were disappointed there were not beverage vending machines on site. The valets are very helpful and personable and held our bags until we could check in, and after we checked out until our flight. This hotel is in a prime location for the water taxi, and the river walk, and the other free taxi shuttle. Its close to a great array of restaurants and shops. There is entertainment certain nights (for ticket holders) and some socials. Fort lauderdale is extremely pet friendly and this hotel is no exception. We were happy we took other reviewers advice to do the junior suite here.

Excellent location to cruise ship terminal and lots of stores to stroll by. Beautiful. Our room was in older building and water did not drain from tub hence review. Would recommend stay tough. Next time wi be more assertive but we were only there 1 night.
