We arrived at 11pm and check-in was via an automated system which worked well enough. Throughout our 3 night stay we saw only 1 person whom we presumed was a staff member. The whole property looks like it's had a recent attempt to re-vamp it but it's still a dated and very basic motel style building. Our room was spotlessly clean on arrival but the smell of bleach/cleaning fluid was so strong it made your eyes water. During our 3 night stay the room was not serviced in any way. Location is pretty good though, it only takes a minute or so to get to the beach. Had I paid $80/night I would have been happy enough but for $250/night I'd class it as poor and would expect more for the money.

Wonderful Pre-cruise Stay

Accommodations were great. Large room. Bathroom was lovely. Shower had multiple shower heads. Kitchenette was stocked for 2 people to eat. Had an apt. Sized fridge, microwave, coffee maker, blender, and toaster. Ice machine is broken but there were 2 mini ice cube trays in freezer. There is a table and chairs. There were 2 entrances/exits to the outside. Bed was comfy. Closet had mirrored sliding doors. There was a small dresser and one nightstand. Room looked recently remodeled. Is bright and cheerful with lots of windows. There is AC and a ceiling fan. Temp was comfortable. Room was on the 2nd floor. Hotel is across the street from the beach. There are no beach chairs on the beach for the hotels. There are 4 chaises around the pool and additional chairs and sofas around the pool. We were the only guests using the pool area. The pool was not skimmed. That would be my only complaint. Someone from the hotel should definitely skim the pool in the morning before people use it to remove floating debris and insects. Overall, the stay exceeded my expectations. Area is walkable with lots of places to eat/drink nearby.

The only problem we had was that we arrived in the middle of a VERY cold spell and the room had no heating options. Not typically a problem for Florida. A few more wifi repeaters would improve the experience. Other than that - convenient, easy access, good parking, close to the beach.

We had a code to check ourselves in. There was no staff on the premises. We had booked a suite for five people but there was no bedding for the fifth person. The refrigerator had old food in it. The soda machines took our money but were sold out of the water we were trying to purchase. We were booked for a cruise and had planned on staying there both directions but cancelled the return trip as they told us there was no place to keep our luggage and we couldn't check in until 4 pm. I guess we were to keep our luggage with us for seven hours.

Lovely ‘old Florida’ from the outside

Lovely ‘old Florida’ looking hotel from the outside, but inside was even better. Clean and crisp. Cute pool area, right in the center of the hotels footprint. Walking distance to everything … we enjoyed our short stay and hope to come back for a longer one soon!

Not worth the cost, things in the room were broken before we even checked in. I’m waiting to find out if they try and charge me for it even though it was already like that. It’s also a contact-less hotel, which was not posted on the website I booked from- not very helpful. Pool closes at 5pm, plug-ins don’t work, and the AC u it’s ate loud. I won’t be staying again.

Love older motel/hotels ... was raised in one my Parents owned on P-cola Bch back in the 70s. Close to the beach, good food and entertainment. Aritha was awesome and so nice and helpful. I'll be back! Oh, the dolphin mural in the pool ... so cool!

GREAT location and friendly staff!

The staff were AMAZING! My husband and I had to disembark our cruise earlier than expected, and check in wasn't till 3. They allowed me to park in their lot (which is a 5 minute walk to the MOST BEAUTIFUL part of Fort Lauderdale Beach!) and even use their beach towels! The only hiccup I had was the shower. I'm a huge germaphobe, and there was a transparent non slip mat in the shower, and you could see mold and gunk forming beneath it. Other than that, everything was just fine!
