Staff was courteous and helpful. Does not have an elevator but staff will help carry luggage upstairs. Furniture is older looking but in good repair. Room was clean. Location was not felt to be in a secure place so went to a different hotel. No refund for first night as expected but 2nd night was refunded. Name Waldorf has no connection to Waldorf hotel chain. My fault for not researching better.

The room was recently renovated and very clean. Just the outside area needed a bit more cleanup. It’s a self checking in and out, no interactions with anyone, I would definitely go back and stay here.

The Opus is well located in Vancouver with a SkyTrain stop right across the street. Very convenient from and to YVR, the international airport. Very close to shops and restaurants but still manages to be a somewhat quiet property. Its charm comes from its size: Not too big but substantial enough to be a boutique hotel. Rooms have very comfortable beds and bedding but the design aesthetic may be a bit dated if that is important to you. Roomy bathrooms with good amenities. I just wish they had mini-bars but that concept seemed to diminish ever since the pandemic. Would like to see that come back.
