The motel is in a great location - quite close to the water, stores, restaurants and the main highway. It was quiet. Check-in was simple. The room and all aspects of it were very clean. Although some updating has been done - the bathroom was very nice - more updates are needed, particularly around the back of the room. The beds were fairly comfortable; the bedding and bath linens were nice. Unfortunately either the laundry detergent or dryer sheets the motel uses left a very strong scent on the linens that was overwhelming and rather unpleasant. Anyone with scent allergies would find breathing in the room difficult. There was lots of hot water and water pressure. All-in-all, a clean, comfortable, convenient place to stay.

This is a very good hotel and the staff and Trudy the lady at breakfast, makes the stay perfect, Trudy is a gem and starting the day with a good breakfast is important and Trudy makes sure of that! I had to go to the saint john crown plaza yesterday because the chateau was booked, omg, that hotel is awful. The Crowne Plaza was all grey the room was dirty, all TFW and breakfast was disgusting. If the Chateau is booked up I will prefer to sleep in my truck then ever go to the crown plaza again.

I stayed here because the Chateau was all booked up. My goodness, it was awful. The first room they gave me had a cut off fingernail by the coffee maker, I was like, what is this, and almost threw up, I went to go reject the room and they gave me the room right beside, on the first floor with a view of the parking lot, it was noisy, There was no creamer, for coffee no extra blanket in the cupboard, at breakfast the music was loud pop music and very very bright lights, the place is all millennia grey paint looks like an institution. And the workers look like all TFW does not reflect the demographics of the city. The breakfast was terrible, no yogurt, no real bacon, the sausages were soggy the eggs soggy and they had turkey bacon that looked like it was in soup and 100 years old. just gross and the croissant I tried was hard as a rock also very old. I'll sleep in my truck before going back there again if the chateau is booked up.
