Wonderful Stay with Excellent Service! We had a fantastic experience at Hotel Alpenhof. The staff were warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Our room was spacious, clean, and offered a breathtaking view—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety, and the on-site restaurant exceeded our expectations. One thing to note: the hotel is located on a hill, which adds to the beautiful views but can make walking with luggage a bit challenging. If you're arriving by train, we highly recommend using a taxi/shuttle service for convenience. Overall, a comfortable and memorable stay. We would definitely return and highly recommend it to others!

Hotel is no frills hotel but very clean with good amenities and the rooms were large for Swiss standards. Everything in room worked well for us. The view from our balcony was amazing

Our room was spacious (with a balcony) and the view was so beautiful, looking over the valley and mountains. The staff were excellent and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast was good also.

This is very traditional Swiss hotel with amazing views. It is close to everything but a little bit of hike up from the main road. There is free parking available. Our room was large and comfortable but the bathroom was small. The furniture looks worn. The breakfast was good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. All in all a very good stay in Grindelwald.

The view from this hotel is fantastic but make note if you have mobility issues. The property is very close to town but there is a steep road to walk up/down. Our bed was comfortable & our room was spacious with a balcony. The breakfast was fantastic for both the selection of food & the service.

They charge 5 francs per hour for using the onsite washer and dryer. The dryer is a complete scam and it doesn’t dry clothes at all. We had a small load of clothes to dry and after 2 hours of drying, it was still soaking wet, staying exactly how it came out of the washer. So by the time you realize that the dryer doesn’t work at all, you will be out of pocket at least 20 francs, and of course, left wondering how to return home with the load of wet clothes in your luggage.
