We will stick with La Quinta
Run down area of town but close to Berry Arena. Room doors opened to parking lot and our deadbolt did not even catch. The bright porch light outside of doors streamed around the blockout curtains (which were dirty.) There was no coffee or tissues in room; also no hooks in bathroom.; no closet for clothes, just a few hooks. The first morning the breakfast consisted of 3 types of cereal and coffee with no creamer; breakfast was better the next day. No way was provided to keep housekeeping from entering room daily; not sure why they needed to since they didn’t clean. The Wi-Fi was good and there were lots of lights even though 2 were burnt out. Beds were comfortable but I got some bites. Walls are thin: could hear our neighbors. No choice of rooms was given; there was no plug for tub. Heat worked well.
Didn’t even stay any of the days I paid for, rooms were disgusting with dead bugs, sticky spill spots, unclean sheets and pillow cases, holes in walls, dirty walls, unswept floors, and trash all outside of rooms and staircases. When 1st arrived and checked in and went to the 1st room I was given and saw how dirty it was I immediately went back to the desk to ask how often rooms were cleaned and describing how my room looked and showing them pictures, they replied by saying rooms are cleaned everyday after check out and explained that it didn’t look like the room had been cleaned at all only that sheets and pillowcases were replaced and even those are dirty l. The representative responded by asking me if I didn’t want room service and when I asked what she meant she asked me if I DIDNT want the room cleaned even after what I told her about it and I told her she could go check it for herself and see if she considered the room to be cleaned. It took 10 minutes from the time I got there and checked in to walkthrough the room and be given a new room that was also dirty )dirty sheets, toilet paper inside the peep hole, a dead fly, hair and food crumbs). My dad also made his own reservation for 2 queen bed and his sheets had what looked like a couples “wet spot” and that it stained the blanket as well as trash and dried food on the floor, he also got a key for a different room (4th room looked at within 20 minutes of arriving) only to have that one be dirty as well.
The hotel rejected us from entry because we have a service small dog,
They requested a service dog Licence card which does not exist
We arrived at 11PM and had to drive 65-70 miles before locating a La Quinta hotel that does not have a problem with service dogs.
