The hotel needs an upgrade . The house keeping came in my room at 9 am even though check out is at 12 I was still in bed and woke up to a Mexican lady standing in the doorway . The carpet was dirty the king bed isn’t king . The decorations was dirty the pool was dirty. The elevators was broken . The best part if the stay was that the customer service is nice and the cookies are good . You pay for parking as well even if you are a guest 32$ a night.. I’m pretty sure it’s a prostitution ring going on there alot of shady activity at night. Police presence as well

I have stayed a multiple doubletree’s but this one by far was a disappointment. The valet parking was okay, until Saturday morning we got into our vehicle and it smelt like weed. In the room the outlet wall for the bathroom was hanging outside of the wall. The shower faucet was not even connected to the wall. The elevator was super slow. The area was okay not to bad but I personally don’t think we will stay here again.

Absolutely horrible, although check in was pretty smooth and we got early check in since we did land a little before check in time. There were bugs in the room, the elevator takes very long. I missed 5 Ubers due to that. Such an inconvenience.

So disappointed in our stay. For the price we paid made it even more disappointing. The beds are TERRIBLE! So bad that we ask to be switched rooms. Had to wait until midnight before we could get our new room only to have the same issue with the beds. At that point just “grin and bear it” and keep what you got. Oh and the parking IS NOT included so expect to pay an additional $32 per day for parking.

Substandard and unsafe!

While rooms were large and cleaned well, the overriding impression left by our stay at the Doubletree Houston Galleria was that the property and Hilton Hotels has an utter disregard for safety standards. Multiple guests were stuck in malfunctioning elevators for 20+ minutes during our stay with front desk staff demonstrating next to zero concern. Repair personnel laughed as guests entered the elevators exclaiming “good luck!” When elevators did work, lines took 15-20 minutes just to get to the desired floor. In addition, an odor of gas permeated the lobby area making many people in our party and several others both sick and uncomfortable about the toxicity/safety. I strongly feel that this property should be assessed as to whether they are in compliance with basic property safety standards. The age/condition of the rooms was not awesome, but given the low cost, that was to be expected.
