I loved the place very nice and clean the food was good but i had transportation and the gentlemen that took me was a very n8ce man and very help full i differently co.e see you all again i was very had with the transportation
My teenage sons and I stayed here for a week at Christmas to attend the Christmas Day Houstons Game. I have many things to say so will start with the good. Most of the staff are very nice and helpful. The breakfast is amazing with the best potatoes and homemade salsa but does have little change, every day is the same. The pool is lovely and my boys enjoyed it.
Now some of the bad. The front desk staff are constantly on their phones and when you ask them for help, they were usually attentive but just always standing there on their phones which I found very unprofessional. One staff member has to be mentioned and that is Talisha, she checked me out when we were leaving and was extremely snotty, she refused to take cash for my room charges because she said that a manager has to be present and there wasn't one standing there. She put those charges through without my consent on my credit card before I could have the option to pay cash and then told me that it would take days to reverse, doing this just so she did not have to deal with taking cash. While I had this interaction with her, she was constantly scrolling her phone right in front of me. Absolutely horrible customer service. This hotel has a shuttle driver that is supposed to be available to take people a distance of 3 miles but every single time we asked him to take us somewhere within those miles, he said no. This is not a service that the hotel should provide if you are not going to enforce it.
Was perfect dog-friendly location for a couple of nights in town to visit museums. Location is very convenient to the museum district as well as restaurants we had planned to go to in the Heights area and River Oaks areas. Also convenient, clean, potty area for dogs (they have large area w/ astroturf type surface and handy poop bags). Room had well appointed kitchenette. The only negative was there was no cold water-it was always very warm to hot. Would stay again.
Hotel room was modern, large, and up to date. Check in was simple. Everything in the hotel room was spotless except for the sofa bed. It smelled like a dog… it’s a pet friendly hotel but did not expect it to smell like a dog.
I made a comment to the front desk but they said I needed to schedule room cleaning and it would take 24 hours. Not a deal breaker but a little disappointing, luckily the room was large enough that the smell did not affect my family’s allergies.
Not sure about the rave reviews about breakfast, it was like most hotels. Not great but good enough.
Shuttle to MD Anderson was quick to be dropped off or picked up. Downside is shuttle is only available M-F.
Would consider staying there again.
We enjoyed our stay, the staff was great, the morning buffet was good given you could also order off the menu too. I know other guests lost wheels in the garage which was awful.
