I will start by saying we absolutely love this hotel, and we stay here any time we come down from DFW. The prices are always very reasonable and the staff is very accommodating and friendly. I’d rate this a perfect 5-star, but a couple things I’d say could use some attention; first, I had already purchased my stay through Expedia and when I showed up to check-in, the gentleman at the front desk tried to run my card again. I was sent a notification by my bank about the transaction, so it didn’t go through. It was not done on purpose, but I’ve had this happen at another hotel and I end up having to wait a week or so to get a refund, and that’s just a big inconvenience, especially when on vacation. Secondly, as I mentioned they are very accommodating, however, they don’t offer a free late check-out. I’ve never been charged for a late check-out at any other hotel. if anything, they sometimes say that the room is needed for other guests and isn’t available for a late check-out. $20 for a single additional hour seems a bit excessive. I will still continue to stay at this hotel, the area is calm and the place is friendly and safe.

Very inexpensive & totally renovated

Sam, who checked us in was warm, friendly, and very accommodating. There was something wrong with our first room, and he moved us immediately. You can tell everything is brand new in the rooms, like they totally renovated the hotel. A couple of things that weren't great - the girl that worked a couple of the mornings was not in a rush to get more coffee when I told her they were out. She took an hour to refill the coffee carafes (that's an important beverage in the morning to most of us!). The other was that the bed was definitely old and very uncomfortable. Lastly, the cable TV was really wonky & the channels would just go out in the middle of watching a show. However, given the incredible price and safety of the location, I would stay again.
