I reserved and paid on Expedia. The check in agent charged my card without permission. I showed her Expedia receipt, she said I had no choice. I spent an hour that evening trying to get someone at Expedia to finally help me. I still may end up double paying. Also, on check in I tried to give my Hilton Honirs info and was brushed off saying it’s free. Uh, it’s not. I had to go and insist on it downstairs to get free WiFi. Finally, the breakfast was miserable. No hot selections, bagels, small yogurts, prepackaged nasty looking muffins, weak coffee, and no chilled milk at coffee bar. I’m not a fan of Spark, but I tried.

I rarely leave a bad review but PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!!! I had a horrible experience with this hotel. We had an early flight this morning and when we checked in, the front desk lied to us about transportation options. We were told that there were no Ubers available early in the morning, and that the hotel could arrange a "taxi" for us. We asked how much the taxi would cost, and the front desk claimed to have no idea, saying, "I've never taken a taxi before." We trusted them and assumed it would be a normal taxi with reasonable rates, possibly a surcharge for the early time. This morning, when we took the so-called "taxi," it turned out to be a private car with no meter, not an official taxi at all! For a 2.7 mile, 6-minute drive, we were charged a ridiculous $120! To make it worse, an Uber for the same trip would have cost around $16, even with a surcharge! The hotel front desk was completely deceptive. They knew exactly how much that service would cost but chose not to disclose it to us. It's clear that they are in on this scam, likely getting a commission from the driver. This is an unethical business practice, and I feel robbed. If they had been upfront about the cost, we would have made different arrangements. This was an outrageous rip-off. If they are willing to deceive guests about something like this, they can easily be deceptive in other aspects. They are misleading their guests to pocket extra cash. Absolutely unacceptable and infuriating.
