Computers down across the region our keys didn’t work for the room. The room was dirty it had mold on the toilet the lady was very nice about it she tried to go to see the room but the lights weren’t working correctly in the other room it’s basically not meant for vacationing it’s meant for housing people are low income people and that’s fine but if you wanna vacation don’t go there. If you need a place to crash out of exhaustion you could probably tolerate it but it’s overpriced for that purpose. It’s better than a tent. Well that’s negotiable but at least you don’t have to set the tent up.
The worst experience living in Econolodge. The bathroom was dirty. Bed sheets had blood stains. No coffee or tea in room. I’m not sure how Expedia has such hotels advertised in their website. I expect a complete refund.
Drove into a retail store parking area. Very depressed. Pizza Hut building abandoned, Friendlies abandoned. Drove past a rundown building with no visual signage of an Econo lodge/Choice Hotel. One old car in parking lot with flat tires. Only one other car besides mine in parking lot. Totally overgrown, unkept landscape. Looked abandoned. Homeless people in and around building. I was embarrassed for booking. Advertised breakfast and there was none. Dust in room was disgusting. I had to get my sleeping bag for my girlfriend to sleep in. We were afraid of bed bugs. Very old unkept room, facility. Disgusting caulking in bathroom. Bathroom sink glazing painted over with scratch marks in the sink and countertop. Totally gross. Worst experience from a well travel businessman. Put a damper on my daughter's college graduation weekend. Shame on Hotels.com for representing Econo. I reviewed hotels and this one had an excellent rating with positive reviews. Thats why I chose it. I booked 7 months in advance. I looked at ratings now and it is 2.9 out of five. I would have never selected them. Reviews are now horrible from the last couple of years. Why weren't the reviews updated. I was mortified. The place is one step from being condemned. The place is not even listed on hotels.com anymore. Shame on the town of Ithaca. This was one step up from platform camping. At least I had a bathroom in the room. Horrible, horrible experience
I was assigned a room which had a broken lock. I was told that I just needed to come to the desk everytime I wanted to enter the room and they would let me in. I was told that they couldn't change my room even though plenty were available. the employee threw my key cards in the air and exclaimed that "now, you're going to get me in trouble" when I said it wasn't acceptable. our bathroom door had a hole made by a fist that wasn't fixed. we had a cockroach crawling around the bathroom floor. the walls and floors had no sound insulation whatsoever and noisy neighbors kept us up. they had a no smoking sign at the main entrance and two employees were unashamedly smoking in front of the sign.
Horrible rooms, stained carpet, smelly rooms, torn and stained blankets, damaged bathroom door, cockroach in the bathroom, mold in the carpert everywhere. I will never stay there.
We stayed here while moving our oldest into college. The pictures on Expedia are a false representation of this hotel. I wish I could upload my own of the holes in the doors, blood in the bathroom, uncleaned tub, missing carpet, and the cigarette burns in a non smoking room. Needless to say, do not stay here.
The room was full of cockroaches. They got into my suitcase. All my clients changed the hotel because of how filthy and disgusting it was. My worse ever hotel experience and I am 58.

The staff were excellent, friendly. The hallways and room had a urine smell, like a dog kennel. Looks like homeless people are housed there .
I have never pulled into a hotel that I got a bad feeling immediately. The grass was uncut and the area where bushes were was weedy and unkept. There were three cars in the entire parking lot.
When we went in to register the person at the front desk was adequate. However, when we walked into the room it smelled of smoke, the floor was sticky, the toilet did not flush and the bathroom door did not close. The one dresser in the room was missing the veneer on part of the exterior and the exterior doors into the building did not lock. After some back and forth discussions we decided to check out (which I will say the front desk person did not give us any trouble doing this) and looked for another place to stay.
We found out in talking to other establishments (restaurant and hotel/motel personnel) that social services houses the homeless and recently released prisoners at this location.
The property was in terrible condition. There was a moldy smell as soon as we stepped into the lobby. Our family had two rooms. Both rooms had many cockroaches, dead and alive. My mom, in her 80's, stayed up and killed 10 roaches overnight. When I tried to use the hairdryer in the bathroom, 3 cockroaches, 1 live and 2 dead, shot out of the hairdryer with one hanging onto the grille for its dear life! The floor was dirty. The blankets had cigarette holes on them. We would've left within an hour if it wasn't already midnight when we checked in.
The only good point about the hotel was that when we complained to the front desk person in the morning and asked to check out, she looked horrified hearing about our experience and gave us a full refund.
I usually don't write reviews but this was probably the worst hotel I had ever stayed in. It was almost a health hazard.
the hotel looks like is isn't even open . Weeds growing in parking lot. Dark and dingy looking. Inside it is filthy. Carpets dirty. Paint off walls, Found out later it is used as a homeless shelter and druggies hang out there all the time. the person at the desk was nice to cancel without a fee but other than that she was not friendly or very informative of the area. We canceled after weeing our rooms. Will never stay at another Econo Lodge. The good ratings have to be made up by employees!
This is the most disgusting place I’ve ever set foot in. My mistake for not reading the reviews, but the pictures must be of only one room in the entire hotel. I walked into a room with cigarette burns on the bedding, holes in the wall, filthy carpet, furniture without drawer fronts, and a black toilet that overflowed when it flushed even without toilet paper. I can’t “unsmell” the place. I was initially alarmed by the shady parking lot and the lobby garbage that was overflowing. It went from bad to the worst ever. I was there for 2 minutes and walked right out. Do not make my same expensive mistake. Don’t stay here! Expedia, you shouldn’t list this place!
I was moving my kids into school and was to stay here one night to pick up my car rental at the airport. I arrived at 11pm, and the room smelled of feces and mold. It was unbearable. The room was unsanitary and not habitable. was told it is a long-term place for homeless people. I had to stay elsewhere.
I have never had to turn around and leave a hotel before but I did just that. It was the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen. The carpets in the stairways, hallways and lobby had not been vacuumed in ages. The entire premise smelled of smoke and there were holes in the walls in my room. I didn’t get a refund (150.00) but it was worth it to not have to stay there.
The property was dingy and dirty. They were roaches in our room, our bathroom. There was dried food all over the floor in our room and gum stuck to the walls of our room. There was mildew and mold in the toilet, and in the shower. There was no bedspread on the bed. There were sheets with hair on them from other people and the sheets had cigarette holes in them.
