I was looking for something that was walking distance to restaurants and shopping. This hotel fit the bill! We stayed Fri-Mon. Here's my experience...upon walking in, it is quite beautiful, there was new staff being trained so, we kind got sent to the wrong "tower" & had to go back around. Also, I had asked if a bottle of champagne could be put in the room because it was our anniversary, and I wanted a sweet surprise. It was not there at check in (4pm) but later, after returning from a walk, we had a lovely cheese platter and wine, thank you Restaurant manager, I want to say Justin? The room appeared tidy but, the only discretion was the bathroom shower, it had mildew in most of the shower track. But everything else was great! We put the do not disturb sign out for all of our stay because we believe in conserving linen. On one of the days we were resting before dinner and someone attempted to enter the room, we had the door lock on, they attempted several times and then called out housekeeping, I was a bit confused because we had the do not disturb sign out....they finally left...and said oh, never mind. We truly did have a lovely stay, but keep in mind if there is some event going on at Cornel, or another school, parking fills up fast. We had problems on 2 of our 3 nights.

Next time don’t give away a room that someone is already sleeping in. The town has a lot of potential to be great but currently has a lot of graffiti, homeless, and marijuana floating I the air.

Why advertise / have an indoor pool if there's no heater and the water is freezing? The polar plunge team from iceland was there but they couldnt hold their event because the water was too cold.
