A lovely retreat near Ithaca College and Buttermilk Falls. My room was spacious and very comfortable. I enjoyed strolling the grounds and watching wildlife in the mornings, and in the evenings after my research sessions at Cornell’s Kroch Library. Hope to be back again next year!

I’m honestly shocked there are any 5 star reviews of this place?? I have no complaints about the staff. Actually, the staff were quite lovely during our stay! Check in and check out were smooth and easy. I think that’s the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. I feel like I was catfished. There are no lovely grounds, there is no pond, there is no lounge. Our room had popcorn ceilings and the bathroom has drop ceiling tiles. The bathroom tile had a large chip in it from I think where they tried to install the curtain rod? Our towels were scratchy. The bed and pillows were almost unusable. The blanket had no duvet cover. The AC is old enough to have a healthy 401k. All the furniture looked like it had been thrifted. There was no safe in the room. The carpets throughout the hotel kind of remind me of The Shining. If the rooms weren’t bad enough the Bistro was laughable. We were the ONLY people in the dining room. The menu was….decidedly bad and the version of the menu you can see at the hotel is completely outdated. We couldn’t order any of the food we thought was available as the menu was completely different from the one provided BY THE HOTEL. The hotel that runs the bistro………. The only thing I ate was a beef soup that could have been a Campbell’s Chunky soup before deciding to leave. All of this I could accept were it not for the $900 price tag we paid for our 3 night stay. Honestly splurge the extra $200 and go stay at the Canopy in Ithaca.
