This place is more family oriented. Convenient location, free decent breakfast, 2 min walk to the beach, reasonable price, 3 restorants right next to the hotel. We had room 303 on the third floor with the partial ocean view. The hotel's interior is outdated. Room was clean, but there was a strong unpleasant smell (like old house with the smell of cooked beets and carrots). Overall it is a nice quiet place.

Great location, very walkable to the beach, surrounding areas are a short drive. Lobby and staff were great. Breakfast was very good, nice size area to just hang out in too. The cleanliness of our room was not so good. I feel the bathroom could have used one more wipe down, there were one too many hairs left from previous occupant - not good! We were out in the handicapped room which was fine with us but the equipment in the bathroom for handicapped people were rusted and the rust from it was sprinkled on the floor. I feel too that only the sheets were changed in between guests and not the comforter - it had what looked like fresh stains on it in several places. I went out and bought our own. Also, housekeeping missed our room- never got freshened up.

Nice large standard bathroom with wall mounted utilities supplied (body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion plus a good hair drier, ironing board and iron), good standard breakfast choices, clean room, nice separate area of a semi kitchenette (sink, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, plenty of counter space to work from), nice TV, lots of towels, and comfortable bed. Missing USB plug in so need a wall charger but easy access to outlets on base of lamps. Liked the wall switch between the beds that turned on entrance light at door and bathroom. Older hotel but remodeled sometime back, fairly maintained, and was doing some repairs outside at time. Very friendly staff.

The property was very convenient for the beach. The restaurant across the street. Sliders had good food and good live music. The staff was friendly and payed back. They had a wonderful breakfast. What I like most. Is they were adorable and the guest we met there were all folks who had stayed there before. This place was a gem.

Relaxed Stay
Great Location!! Right across the street from a quiet beach. Several places nearby within walking distance to eat. Staff was friendly and helpful. Did not have housekeeping service, but they delivered towels every day. Breakfast was pretty good, basic but always had meat, potato and eggs. Downtown Fernandina Beach is about 2.5 miles away, very nice place to walk around, many nice dining options and shopping.

I enjoyed my stay and was overall happy. A few opportunities for improvement are: the bath towels could be softer, the bathtub faucet drips (room 228), and the bed sheets didn't feel "clean" - I ended up sleeping on top of the comforter. Some good things: the partial ocean view was nice - I was able to watch the sunrise from my bed. The A/C worked well. The room was larger than I expected. Staff is super friendly. I will come back!

Debra Chris and greg have always been awesome couldn’t ask for better. We stay here every couple weekends in the spring and summer and they have been excellent. This time there was a woman named Jennifer. She it rude and hateful! No help at all. Makes me consider staying some where else if she is going to be there.
