Old, classic hotel. Staff excellent - helpful and friendly. Not as antiseptic as a newer property, but we like that. Great location - everything you need within easy reach. We parked across the street and didn't move the vehicle for 3 days. No problem for us, but it might be an issue if the area is busier.

The facility was actually very nice and the staff was great. We just happened to arrive on a wedding party night and the place was a zoo. That said, I would give them a good rating, it was charming and I wish we had caught this location on a somewhat less hectic night.

Great escape

4 nights. 2nd stay in a month. We love the location and this time we got a better room where the a/c worked great. Just a great escape from the cold in Virginia.

I actually love this hotel!! But for some reason there were issues in the restraunt/bar!!!! There was no server for the entire place!! The bartender had to do all the running for food orders!! I ordered a plate of blue cheese chips. It took 45 min for it to come out!!! There wasnt a lot of people eating for it to take that long!!! Also the bartender didnt know how to make my drink. He could if looked it up when my husband ordered it!!! Instead i had to come tell him how to make a mudslide!!! Suggestion for the hotel get a blender!!!

AMAZING!!! JUST AMAZING!!! We stopped on our way back home in Jacksonville and decided to book this nice old hotel. When we arrived we were greeted at the front desk super nice and Alicia was super professional and helpful! We felt super welcome. The location of the Hotel is right at the beach and 2 min. walking distance to the pier. Absolute perfect getaway location in Jacksonville!!! We will come back and enjoy Jacksonville again!

The hotel itself was charming. Unfortunately, there was a wedding the night we were there (it was a week night). Other guests kept us awake for hours and I guess there was little the management could or chose to do. The breakfast was not particularly good. If you go, make SURE to check out whether a wedding will be held.
