The only positive thing about this hotel was the front desk attendant that swapped out the atrocious mattress we had, for a not new but moderately less atrocious mattress. There were spills that had not been cleaned from the last guest. Cup/watermarks from previous guests. The bedding smelled like cigarettes and body odor. The heat was on when we walked in the room initially so it took us a few minutes to breathe passed the musty smell. If you’re asking why we stayed, everywhere else was booked due to a big football game going on and it was an exhausting day already and I had a child with me that needed rest. The ONLY good part of this review is Sherman. He swapped out the pullout mattress and I caught him in the halls and mentioned how awful it was. Within minutes he was back with the best he could do. I was thankful and expressed that to him however that does not negate the fact that the entire rest of the room was in horrid condition. I do have photos so those will be shared if possible.10/10 do not recommend and will not return. Absolutely not worth the $150 that we paid for one night.

Although the Hotel was renovated, and from outward appearances it looked good, there were just several things that were in dire need of being properly addressed. 1. The first room , room 315,we were in, the carpeting was extremely dirty. Just one use of my white socks to and from the shower showed the carpet and bathroom floor were filthy. 2. The shower head was offset from center and there was no ability to adjust it to aim at the center of the tub. 3. the tub nozzle was old and didn't close properly to allow the shower head to fully operate. Not only that but it was not securely in place and it nearly pulled out of the tub wall!. 3. We had to change rooms because of this and the 2nd room, 415, did have a slightly better shower, but the floors were still filthy. At least we were able to get the shower working a little better, although you couldn't direct the head again! The whole stay was actually spoiled due to the inconvenience we we experienced.

Stayed here throughout the years I’ve passed through Jacksonville because the bed was usually very comfortable. This year the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. It felt as if I were sleeping on the box spring. Other than that service great and hotel clean and always feel safe here.

The lights went out
It was fine until the lights went out… we had to leave really early the next morning because we had no lights… we also had to carry our heavy luggage down a dark stairway… you had to ask for extra towels because there was no regular maid service unless you asked for it.
