No hot water

No hot water in our room. I let the front desk know. They said they would send up someone to fix it, but there was still no hot water the next morning the shower was dirty as well. The rooms are very outdated, especially for the price.

A very tired hotel in need of an overhaul

The staff was friendly and helpful but the facility is tired and due for a major upgrade. The room was fine and for the price and view of the river I would stay there again. It was just that the facility showed its age. Little things were broken or showed a lot of wear. I had higher expectations and was disappointed.

The room itself was clean. However, the bathroom not so clean. The shower had a dirty towel hanging over the shower rod and it hand a bad odor.

The carpet in the room was dirty, chipping paint on the door, dirty tub, dirty curtain, air conditioning handler extreme noisy preventing one from having a restful sleep. The hotel wouldn't give me a refund as the reservation was made through you.

The staff, especially Latoya, was professional. Courteous, knowledgeable, and patient. The breakfast was really good, with a great selection of items. The hotel rooms need an update, but was clean and convenient. The area surrounding the hotel was adjacent to the Riverwalk. Close to the performing arts center, museum and restaurant. I would recommend it.

Bad choice

The hotel is very poorly maintained. Here are just two pictures showing its lack of detail and caring—similar scenarios throughout the room and the hotel's common areas. I’d not stay here again. The check-in staff was great.

Difficult to find especially at night. Bathroom needs more shelving/areas for personal items Soap film/scum in shower Hot water not really hot, bath fixture difficult to operate/falling off Rust on toilet paper holder Incessant noise from bridge traffic Need TV guide, paper restaurant, activity information. Front desk very friendly! Housekeeping very kind - thank you to 27 year female employee who helped me with my luggage.

Needs Attention

It’s troubling when you see mold and mildew growing on the ceiling of the shower in a Double Tree Hotel. They normally have a much higher bar than this. Our sink had someone’s whisker clippings in it to boot.

This was a great hotel. The location was perfect with a beautiful view of the river and downtown. Close to the stadium, right on the water. Loved the mid century modern exterior. Room was great- the balcony was so nice to have- loved the ability to have fresh air in the room. Yes the rooms are very 2015 and “outdated” but it was clean. Staff was fantastic. I will stay here again and again.
