One of the Best Getaways We've Had in a Long Time My wife and I recently stayed at MJB, and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable vacation experiences we've had in quite some time. While we were aware of some concerns about the valet-only parking setup, we found it to be efficient and convenient. It was a nice touch to have our vehicle brought directly to the first-floor entrance—no hassle whatsoever. The hotel's proximity to Jacksonville Beach couldn’t have been better. From our room on the 7th floor, we had a beautiful view of the coastline. The gentle sea breeze, combined with the soothing sound of the waves, created an incredibly relaxing atmosphere, especially at night. Dining at the LandShark Bar & Grill exceeded expectations. The meals were flavorful and generously portioned, making each visit a treat. We also really appreciated Joe Merchant’s Coffee for that perfect morning “pick-me-up” before heading out for the day. A standout feature was the hotel’s motif. The décor, from wall art to subtle design elements, captured a coastal vibe without being overdone. Even the background music (like Jimmy Buffet) piped through the overhead speakers added to the relaxed, tropical ambiance. Our room was impressively spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the walk-in shower was both modern and refreshing. Every detail made us feel like we were truly on vacation. We would return and recommend MJB to others looking for a relaxing beachside retreat.

There was a good bit of road construction around the are so I was worried about my tires. The front desk attendant was listening to her horoscope when we checked in. Loudly. Like I thought she was gambling, and I could not hear her talking until she turned it off. The valet people did not try to help us find a luggage cart even though we stood by the lobby for about 30 minutes. They kept saying we would have to go look for one because others people would leave them by the elevators and in the rooms. Which I understand, but when we mentioned to the front desk that maybe they needed more luggage carts the front desk simply replied it was the valet's job to keep track of the carts. Sounds like no one wanted to actually help. The beach access and the rooms were amazing and are still a big selling point for me. I would go back.

Wonderful Oversight Beach Stay

Our family had a wonderful stay at your hotel. My husband jokingly calls me a hotel snob. While I don't see myself that way, I do value cleanliness and enjoy discovering places that make me feel comfortable. I don't travel very often, but when I find a place that meets all my expectations, it's truly a rarity.

Overall, our stay was lovely. The food was good and the service was great. There was some maintenance being completed on the building, which was a little noisy in the morning. The beds were very, very firm, almost too hard. Parking is at minimum so you are practically forced to valet. Ocean view is definitely just that, ocean view, not actually oceanfront. Our view was between two other parts of the building facing the ocean.

Hotel was OK. The service in the restaurant was non-existent. We waited foe over 20 minutes and never even had a server introduce themselves, much less take an order or drink order. The restaurant experience pretty much ruined the trip. It seemed like others in the restaurant were also having crappy service experiences. One guy came up to the front desk to complain as we were being seated.

We've stayed at many of the Margaritaville locations. While this location's room was status quo, a few things didn't live up to our expectation. We asked for an early check-in and I do understand that sometime this can't be accommodated, however please don't tell me the room isn't available and as I walk up someone asking for an early check-in was given a room. The pool area did not live up to the margaritaville lure.
