We didn’t have any problems staying here this last week- staff was great, breakfast simple but food for belly’s, For a place to stay it worked just fine. Even the noise level wasn’t an issue. It’s an old hotel so there’s wear and tear- by you can tell they’ve upgraded the furnishing where they could. Beds were clean and soft and housekeeping ladies were always asking if we needed something as we headed out the door. If we were looking to stay in the area I would totally stay here again. ✔️ Side note- The only negative was the transportation into the city. You have to walk up the back of property to 2-3 blocks up hill to a 3rd party shuttle that leaves on their own time when seats are filled. It’s $4 pp to ride into the city to get dropped off at bus terminal. Then it’s $4 pp to be picked up at bus terminal to come back. So $ adds up for a family to come in and out everyday for a week vacation. It was almost $270 plus tip each way for a shuttle to get from JFK airport and back, and $60 each time for a uber into the city plus tip. At 3rd party shuttle drop off you get dropped off at Exxon gas station or 32nd street and have 4-6 block walk going over off ramp streets to get back to the hotel. At night with younger kids being out all day it’s a trek. I know this is nothing on hotel- if I was staying in the area I’d totally stay here again. Just a heads up when thinking of hotel costs- consider the $ amount of transportation into the city too. It added up WAY fast for us.

The hotel was clean and much nicer than we anticipated. The beds were comfortable and the room was much larger than we expected. There was even a heat-less fireplace for ambiance. Worked amazing for our family to stay just outside of NYC but close enough to easily travel in. Breakfast had lots of options and was very good and we even waited until an hour before it ended to eat.

I very much enjoyed my stay. The room was thoroughly clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the shuttle to NYC was super convenient. I would highly recommend booking a room here.

Cons: The rooms ac/heater was noisy. Breakfast quality was not good. Transportation to manhattan is not easy. There is a shuttle which was not available on Sunday. Pros: The room was clean and big. There is a shuttle to manhattan (except Sundays).

We found dead cockroaches in the bathroom.Aslo for some weird reason the tub isn’t flat, it’s angled on the sides so you can’t stand safely and can slip.

HOUSE KEEPING ARE THEIFS NEVER AGAIN!
DO NOT GO HERE!!! Housekeeping stole my bracelet worth over a thousand dollars.There was nothing done to compensate for the theft of my bracelet not even a refund on my stay there that was way cheaper than my stolen item. Theres roaches crawling everywhere. Very dirty and smells of smoke everywhere. Over all just an awful experience. Never coming back. If the housekeeper that stole my bracelet is reading this I hope you die slow and karma will hit you. Thats why ur just a house keeper to a cheap hotel and u will be only that for the rest of your life since you have nothing else going for you.

The location is in close proximity from NYC. To NYC you can take a bus to Port Authority Bus Station pretty much any bus that goes towarda NYC (4 USD per person max). Interior is a bit outdated. Only one lift was working but as it was not too busy in hotel, was manageable. Room was nice, clean, beds comfortable. Shower could be cleaned better. Breakfast was included: not terrible, not great. Suitable for a day start.
