Terrible experience

The pictures on the site does the hotel a lot of justice the room was not up to par for the price there was blood stains on our sheets (pictures attached) the knob on the bathroom sink was broke, the air vent to the room rattled all night making a loud noise and hard to sleep, the night lamps in between both beds didn’t work and the hotel itself smelled like a basement. Not to mention there was no microwave or mini frig in the room just one in the lobby for the entire hotel. I was very disappointed with my stay and the staff seemed to careless

Drove all the way from FL, arrived @ 9 am so too early for check in, so we went to NYC to explore the city for the day and came back around 10:30 pm. Made a reservation through Expedia (ITS STILL A LEGIT RESERVATION!!!)… only to be told “sorry we have no more rooms left” WHAT?!? I drove all the way from Florida with 2 children and no more rooms?!? What?! Then the guy at the front desk said let me check if there’s anything I can do.. uh yeah please? Came back 15 minutes later with room keys, lug the kids up and swipe the room key:.. walked in on a whole family sleeping… so embarrassing. Went back down stairs and they said oh sorry. And Gave us different room keys. Water pressure sucked and barely any hot water, staff were friendly but still unprofessional what they tried to say.

This is my second time staying at this property and it will definitely be my last. I came to celebrate my daughter’s twelfth birthday and my mother’s 78th. We we got to the room appeared okay. My mother went to the bathroom and said there was hair in the tub and on the floor like someone had just taken a shower. On the toilet seat there was remnants from someone having their period. We cleaned that ourselves because there was only one person downstairs and she was handling a long line of check ins. Then we are finally back and decide to go to sleep but we noticed the walls were so thin that we could hear everything the people next door were saying. I mean everything and it was loud which meant that no on in my room got rest that night. I tried to go downstairs and tell them what I was experiencing and the lady smiled and said sorry we can’t because we don’t have clean rooms. On top of that I asked for extra towels and it took them hours to get it to us. This hotel was completely understaffed this weekend and it showed. The only good take away was that the food from the restaurant was good, but again they needed more staff because that poor bartender was doing everyone’s job. My experience was a 2 out of a ten.

No air conditioner! Room was 80 degrees! Key didn’t work the first time so I had to drag everything back downstairs to the front desk. Fire alarm was going off only on the stairwells at 7am, can’t hear it at all on the floors or rooms. Thank goodness wasn’t a major emergency but the fact that no one can actually hear it is concerning.

The fire alarm went off early in the morning and we were unable to hear the alarms from our room. This event should be very eye opening for the hotel. This hotel is putting all its travelers lives in danger. The hotel rooms are very dark and dirty. Avoid at all costs.

For starters when I arrived I was told I was here on the wrong day and they didn’t have a room for me. When I showed my reservation confirmation they then had me call Expedia to confirm the reservation. The Expedia customer service woman was very helpful and nice she said she would call the hotel. I stood there listing to the phone ring for 5 minutes. No one answered at the hotel front desk. Once that was all figured out when I finally arrived to my room the air didn’t work and it was 75 degrees for my entire stay. The toilet didn’t flush, and there was hair on the bathroom floor. Also the outlets in my room didn’t all work. None of the toilets on the public restrooms flushed properly either the hand soap dispensers were all broken. Also I had to pay an additional $55 for parking that was not disclosed prior to my stay. I went to the front desk to talk to them about my issues where I was told I’d have to speak to a manager and there was none there at this time. Needless to say I will not be staying here ever again and will definitely not recommend the hotel to anyone!

When we checked in with our Expedia reservation, as a normal procedure, our credit card was used to verify the reservation and charged for future possible incidentals. The person at the front desk used a cell phone and tapped to pay with my card. I assumed and still do believe that it was part of the hotels check-in system. I found it odd tho that a picture of the credit card was taken with the same device after it was tapped. I thought to myself why would they need a picture of my card. Two weeks later, my card was used fraudulently at a Red Roof Inn in Jamaica, New York. It was used a second time a week after that at the same hotel.

I would not stay again nor would I recommend this property. Our stay was way below average at best! The whole property looked like it was in need of a good scrub down. The room was out of body wash, there was two different occasions that our room only had scalding hot water for two hours! The toilet paper holder was broken. We heard every little noise from the room upstairs and beside us. There was only 1 ice machine in the lobby to service 19 floors! The morning after checking in someone walked in our room no housekeeping announcement or anything! Just walked in! 1 star would not recommend!
