Historic hotel in the center of Karlskrona

It is a bit old and worn-down, with lots of historic ambiance. The bed was very comfortable. Having more furniture to put our stuff on would have been nice. The breakfast buffet was five-star; I could easily see people staying there for breakfast alone. Perfect gravlax, many coldcuts, cheese, cereals, a great selection of bread, and one morning, there was even a specially baked chocolate cake!

New Years Eve

The Hotel has a great location. It is so charming in the middle of the city. We got upgraded to a suite room. It was really nice. The facility is a bit old and it needs a renovation. Breakfast was great. Overall, I'm happy and I would return.

My travel plans changed, so I added an extra day at the beginning of my stay, yet arrived at about 1 am. Thankfully the front desk is open 24 hours. The woman on duty made me feel welcome, and even gave recommendations on the area, and what snacks to try. The room was clean and comfortable. The next time I'm in town, I will stay here again.

Gammal vacker byggnad med fantastisk potential

Trevlig personal och fin frukost ! Fantastiska lokaler med kakelugnar och stuckaturer. Mycket bra läge med många restauranger på kort promenadavstånd. Men rummen är slitna och spaavdelningen har sett sina bästa dagar (avstå helt från den)- Det ger ett slitet och nött intryck till totalupplevelsen.

En bedagad skönhet

Stadshotellet är en fantastisk byggnad mitt i stan, precis vid Stora torget. Känslan är att huset renoverats invändigt på 1980-talet, ganska omfattande och det mesta av de gamla togs bort. Det ersattes av tråkiga ytskick och murriga färger. Vårt rum saknade belysning, där taklampan i taket i rummet skulle sitta fanns bara kablar kvar och i hallen vara lampan trasig. Vi fick en toarulle, som förväntades räcka de tre dagarna som vi bodde där… Receptionen hade en extra. Rummet städades inte någon gång under vistelsen - det kanske är kutym nu för tiden?! Rummet hade inte ventilation men ett av fönsterna hade en spärr - som gjorde arr fönstret kunde stå öppet i sommarvärmen - nu var ju dock spärren trasig.. Å andra sidan vad det Skärgårdsfestivalen samma vecka - som inte tystnade förrän 01:30 varje natt - dock inte hotellets fel! Det är också lite märkligt att det inte fanns en spegel i hallen eller i rummet, eller någon form av bord eller liknande att lägga sin väska på. Frukosten var bra, men inga överdrifter. Äggröran var gjord av riktiga och var god - ett stort plus! Trevligt personal, men känsla var att det inte fanns någon ansvarig på plats. För närmare 3000 per natt, förväntar man sig lite mer. Återkommer gärna till Karlskrona men väljer nog ett annat boende. Hoppas verkligen att skönheten får sin forntida glans tillbaka!

Dåligt rum för högt pris

Vi hade bokat ett signatur rum och fick ett kalt rum med ett högt halvt fönster med vy över tak (323). Oacceptabelt!! vilket vi påpekade och fick ett nytt rum som motsvarade förväntningarna även om badrummet var litet (225) Förvånande att det är möjligt med sådant rum i den prisklassen
